Hi Claudia! I found a dupe for the Naked Sundays mineral sunscreen, and I swear they are identical. It called Ethical Zinc tinted SPF 50, and it retails for $18 a bottle of 100 ml (better deal than the Naked Sundays). Ethical Zinc is also an Aussie brand (and that is why I think they are the same sunscreens).

You can make your own tinted sunscreen by using up shiny/greasy sunscreen: dab on skin camouflage or conceiler and mix it over the top of the skin and it will resemble expensive sunscreen, reducing the shine.

@@claudiaglows It's very surprising how you can use a cheap and shiny sunscreen look like a premium product by using up your concealer, then removing the shine with an improved tint. Sunscreen with a white cast can be useful for laser treatments and the Plasma Pen as the white cast can cover redness better than concealer. x

Hi Claudia! Thank you for another informative video. I have had my Maysama mask for a week now and I love everything about it! I had been using the Qure mask for the past few months. My original Qure mask stopped charging/working after a month of use. The replacement did the same thing after under two months of use. I was so lucky to stumble upon the Maysama mask in search of a more reliable replacement. I love that it offers pulsed light as well as several light options. This mask is far more comfortable and versatile than the Qure mask. The flat design also allows for me to use it on my chest.

Thank you for this awesome video. I would love to buy that mask but I can’t right now. I ended up buying the Aduro several months ago. I do like it, but would love this one much more. I like the fact that you can adjust the amount of time versus 20 minutes which I don’t always have that amount of time. I do have two Lightstim handhelds but that is time consuming also. At some point, maybe I will sell that mask. I do love red light therapy and that’s the most important part is being able to use that on a regular consistent basis. I always enjoy your videos and education. You are so real and down to earth.

Thank you for showing the Maysama mask. It really like that it covers the mouth area. I have the Omnilux mask too and while it has been great, certain things about it aren’t perfect. I bought the Maysama panel last year and absolutely love it. It may be my imagination but I really see a change in the lines around my lips and eyes that I did not see after a few years of using the Omnilux because Omnilux doesn’t have lights in those areas. Your content is so informative and enjoyable to watch!

@@MyshelLeAnn hello! That’s a tough question-I have Omnilux face and décolletage masks so I get all my areas of concern wearing both masks and I almost always wear both at the same time. I had concerns about the distance of skin from lights too with a panel however in one of Bev from Maysama’s interviews she talks about optimal distance being 9-12 inches away from her pulsed light panel. I don’t like that the Omnilux doesn’t have lights around the mouth area so I would recommend a different mask. Masks are better for travel so if you travel frequently, go with a mask. Dollar for dollar I think you are better off with a panel because otherwise you need a neck and décolletage to cover same area. Of course you could just put face mask on chest but then you are doubling treatment time.

Hi, it really depends on your preference. Both are great. But as you said, with the panel you get the benefit of covering the neck and chest as well. However the mask is super light and great for travel and you can multi task when wearing it. I would say if you do not travel much and you have the time and patience to sit in front of a panel for about 10 minutes per session, get the panel. If you want something you can multitask with and take on travels get the mask. I hope this helps x@@MyshelLeAnn

@@MyshelLeAnn that’s hard to say because I have only had the panel since December and have been using red light therapy for almost 5 years. Fortunately my skin is in maintenance stage meaning I don’t have discoloration or many wrinkles so it’s hard to say if pulsed light is making a difference. I don’t use the maysama serum (green tea products don’t agree with my skin) so when I use the panel for product penetration, it’s usually with vitamin C serum or after cosmetic microneedling and application of a growth factor serum. You can’t go wrong with LED light therapy. You just have to decide which form you are likely to use more. If I could only pick one and cost was a factor-I would go with either Maysama, Qure or Dr Ranjani’s mask because they offer the most versatility with blue light option and are better designed than Omnilux

Hi Gorgeous Claudia, What I'm loving right now and always is being here. The LED mask is right up my alley as someone with hyperpigmentation; how genius to be able to separate the red and infared light and the mouth cover is so key. I too got a red dent on my nose with the Omnilux. I tired the Naked Sundays and really liked how it looked and applied, but by the end of the day my skin felt drier than usual . I'm still on the hunt for an ideal mineral sunscreen for me. I do like the Avene in the compact for touch ups. I hope all is going well for you and you're not too cold in OH. I would love Bev’s MAYSAMA mask though I have a panel and I put it in my lap and I can get my face/ neck and I hold up my wrists/ hands since I have carpal tunnel and get them to join in lol . I tried so many new sunscreens this past year and everything made me break out mostly on my nose & unfortunately all the Korean ones . Color science had a great sale during the holidays and I got the FLEX and No-show Mineral formulas and finally no break out ! I already have the Glow formula which I mix in during the summer months . I’ve been loving IUNIK products , I have a couple of there serums and the Beta-Glucan daily moisture cream . they are so lovely and very reasonable . Stay warm and have a great week ❌⭕️

My fav mineral sunscreen I love right now is Pavise. 6 months in, no increased pigmentation (full, direct sun tested) and have noticed some fading of spots on my forehead and cheeks. My latest impulse buy (late at night) trying to find something to heal my post menopausal, cranky, spicy skin barrier after microneedling lead me to Deinde...1 week in, it's a hallelujah yes!lol. Oooooooo Thank you! So much of Red light comes from the US and I Just assumed Mayasma was too... I wrote to you a few weeks ago asking you about Microneedling... I had Just done a third treatment but my skin was unusually red for at least three weeks... Well it's almost back to normal but my skin has never felt so smooth and I can see visible improvements especially around my mouth and jowls... The other difference I wanted to share and ask you about is that I would never have felt clean enough to not cleanse my face at least twice a Day but for Whatever reason that seems to have changed... I don't feel that urgent need to cleanse... I don't wear any kinds of Make up, no foundations, concealers or mascaras and never have but always felt slightly grimey but not anymore... Why's that d'ya think? I truly believe that MN is awesome... I looked terrible for two weeks and I'm about to do it again but it's a game change... Regards Diana

Wonderful if your skin is so good that you don't feel the need for any make-up - that's my aim!! Re not having the need to cleanse, do you think it might be because you've got rid of all the aging cells and replaced them with new healthy ones? I’m still looking for that holy grail spf! One favorite is Avene’s compact makeup spf, just wish they’d make a better shade range. I’ve tried the Maysama serum, but it makes my skin dry & itch. I use green tea toner or my own green roobios tea. I don’t react to the actual tea. The mask looks great. I like the flexibility of RLT/NIR & the lips covered. I’m just using what I have. Claudia, I didnt know that infrared light worsens melasma. I use the mito red panel with red and infra red light. I don't think my sunspots are worse but I will definitely keep that in mind, your skin is so healthy looking.

Hi Carol, I don't think it does with everyone, but some have told me they noticed a worsening of their pigment with infra red. I believe it is from the heat some infra red devices give off...

Hi Claudia. You always have the best products to try. I really like Shunly sunscreen that I bought from Costco. It’s not tinted. I also bought Alastin but it gathers in brows and hairline too. So I put on the Shunly and put a small amount of the Alastin over it…staying away from brows and hairline! It’s been working well. I’m a sunscreen fanatic too and have so many. ❤

I hope you're move is going okay. I have been doing skin care and some micro needling. I did have the CO2 laser done a few weeks ago. I struggle with looking in the mirror to do these things because I just don't like what I see, how do you not give up hope to make things look better? Hi Crystal, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling. I think all of us, as we are getting older, struggle with those things, some more, some less. But it is not that easy to see these changes in our face, while still feeling like a kid on the inside. I have those challenges as well and try to address myself with kindness, as well as try to remember that aging beats the alternative, and that there are many things I have to be grateful for. That being said, of course we all want to look our best and luckily we have many options for non invasive treatments now. Another thing to remember is that the things we hate, when we look in the mirror, are not something others notices. For example, I hate my peri oral folds, but I am sure it is not something you focus on when watching. We are our own worst enemies, and I am certain if I met you, I would find you absolutely stunning. x

Great video Claudia. A few of my k sunscreens are mineral. Scinic, haru haru and a blend is cosrx aloe soothing sun cream. Obviously the minerals aren't as elegant under makeup so I wear those on weekends or summers. I am also trying new Medik8 products. Eye cream serums and peptides.

Hi Claudia, forgot to mention the ZIIP problem solver treatment is also great for occasional pimples. It really calms pimples and speeds healing time. I do wish the Omnilux mask had a blue light option. I might be tempted to buy it for blue light for my teenage girls and my occasional breakouts.

Hi Martha, I am really happy you were here. Personally, I have not used a sauna blanket, but I can’t imagine laying in my own sweat. To be honest, it sounds a bit gross to me. Versus in the portable sauna it just runs off of me like in a regular sauna. But that is just me, I do know some people love sauna blankets and they definitely take up less room As far as the benefits, I would say that the same, and maybe laying down is a bit more relaxing than sitting up. But for me, if I had to choose between the two, it would 100% be my portable sauna I hope this helps. Claudia, are you at all interested in Korean sunscreens? For me after trying dozens of American brands, I find myself gravitating mostly to Korean sunscreens. I do love dermatologist, physical tinted moisturizer and sunscreen. And I’m a holdout for the Paula’s choice Resist SPF 30 for wintertime. But I’m obsessed with anyone of these three Korean sunscreens. They all go on like skin care, have a Beautiful finish and are untinted. I haven’t found a good tinted Korean sunscreen, but the ones that I would highly recommend. If you haven’t already tried them are the beauty of Joseon relief Sun, rice and probiotic SPF 50, PA++++, the skin 1004 Centella sunscreen SPF 50, PA++++, And then Bento’s air fit UV defense sun cream SPF 50 PA ++++. Perhaps you tried all of these, but I think they’re all wildly advanced.l, albeit chemical sunscreens.

Thank you for your kind comment Jill. I know the skin biome is "in right now. I actually purchased some products that were really raved about (for the skin biome) and my skin hated them. They burned and stung and I wasted several hundred dollars on those products :( So while I am sure it is important to keep our skin biome in balance, I am not sure about using certain products to do so x

One thing that perplexes me is that I heard if one wears makeup over a physical sunscreen that it cancels the refraction quality and keeps it from actually protecting your skin?? Also when i saw how long you rubbed them into your skin i remember hearing somewhere that we were not supposed to do that either (not sure why)? I currently use the Dr. Jart Every Sun Day and like it but it does make me look a bit blue if I don’t add some bronzer to tone it back a little. Recently ordered one from Joseon I am excited to try. 🌿

Hi, I am really happy you are here. I have actually never heard the part about makeup canceling out the spf. But I will do a bit more research on this. As far as rubbing it in, I have also heard that it is better to pad it in, but with some of these formulations I would sit there all day trying to pad them in. Hi Claudia! I really do appreciate the disclaimer at the start of the video. I had been trying with the idea of cutting down my exposure to social media because, frankly, it drives many of my purchases. But I do so enjoy connecting with my friends on KZbin. I do have a question about the ziip halo, which I have been loving. Can you use glycerin as a conductor with a mineral spray such as Avene as a base. I go through their conductive serum quickly, and it's a bit pricey. Thank you!

I bought the Young Goose SPF and while it's lovely, it's way too $$$. Unless one is only using it as a stand-alone product, the beneficial ingredients can't possibly penetrate the layers they need to get through. I can't use just mineral sunscreen alone because my skin is SO dry. It's so dry that I really shouldn't use mineral, and i think mineral SPF is a contributing factor to my skin being so dry, but i have not found a single chemical screen that actually works as a sunscreen.

Hi! No, they’re not experiencing fat loss because of microcurrent. We age. As we grow older, we naturally lose facial fat. Remember this phrase: “Correlation does not equal causation.” So, most of us using these devices are over 50. We’re going through menopause and post menopause changes. Trying to stop whatever we can. So, the correlation here-microcurrent devices-does not equal causation-age related face changes.
