Just a tip about the omegas: 1 tbsp of flaxseed/chia seeds actually has the daily amount of omegas we need. So if you're someone who likes having smoothies or oatmeal for breakfast, it's really easy to just throw those in 😁 I find it a lot cheaper than the supplements.
@flojohobbit50842 жыл бұрын
People supplement because the conversion from ALA to EPA and DHA is very inefficient, so the EPA/DHA supplement is to ensure we get adequate amounts, instead of just relying on flaxseeds, etc for ALA.
@CheapLazyVegan2 жыл бұрын
thanks for the tip! I've been having chia seeds in my overnight oats~ but yeah i think the reason i supplement is for the DHA (i read about this a while ago so I can't remember the details but the previous comment explained it! )

Some really tasty looking things in this video. Question though, does tofu scramble have to be made with soft tofu or can you use like extra firm? I don’t have access to soft tofu, so that’s why I’m wondering. Oh and how do you adjust your recipes when you add protein powder? I assume were the batter would be thicker that you would at least have to add extra time to the timer. Do you find that different protein powders work better or worse for baking? Like pea protein vs something like vega.

I just made the egg salad on toast and I just wanted to say that I really like the flavor, but having never tried silken tofu before, the consistency isn't something that I enjoyed..... I think part of the problem with the biscuits is they might have been too wet. My dad makes drop biscuits like these and even those his aren’t vegan they also aren’t as wet so maybe it will help them rise better if the batter isn’t as heavy or wet?
