This was really interesting. I would love more mom content.

Thanks Brittanie! What a great video! My daughter is expecting her first baby (boy) in April and although she is not on a low fodmap diet I still think it's beneficial. You remind me of her. I feel like you could be friends. I would love to hear more about how the cloth diapering is going. How easy is it? Personally, I was diapered in pampers, I think, after my mom was tired of using cloth for my 3 older siblings. lol. When I had my two daughters, I also used pampers. I have 2 big boxes here already in preparation for my new grandson. 😬🤷♀I do agree with you about chemicals in everything. I'm a huge tea drinker, so, thanks for that info. Your baby is adorable and again congrats and keep up the great work!

Hi, Lisa! Thank you so much for the superchat!! It’s much appreciated. Congrats on your new grandson! I love cloth diapering!! We do use disposable at night and when we go out, but I much prefer the cloth. I think it’s super easy once you get the hang of it. I was a little intimidated at first. I didn’t start until my baby was 4 months. Luckily there are better options on the market these days. I chose the Dyper brand of diapers because they are made with 55% plant material, no dyes or scents, and use bamboo viscose for the absorbent material instead of sodium acrylate. I also like that they are available on Amazon and at Walmart. Since my son was premie, we started out on pampers and Huggies too (which I didn’t love) because they’re weren’t available in the Dyper brand. But if I’ve learned anything on my health journey, it’s just how resilient the human body is. It’s never too late to make healthy changes. I hope your daughter has a smooth and uncomplicated pregnancy and birth and that your grandson arrives safely. It sounds like he is already so loved.😊❤️

As someone who found your channel not too long ago and have your recipes on repeat AND recently found out I'm pregnant - I'm thrilled to see this video! The only thing, I live in Tokyo and women are not encouraged to eat raw fish during pregnancy here either, unfortunately :(

CONGRATS!! Interesting. Thanks for that info. I’m guessing it’s probably considered an outdated cultural practice by modern medicine.🙄 I hope you have an uncomplicated pregnancy and that your baby arrives safely when the time comes. Congrats again!

Oh my gosh, this is such an amazing video! Thanks! I agree on everything that you said, I even have the same prenatals at home 😄 ...but was afraid to try them since I react badly to most supplements... So thanks for the encouragement! I'm currently exploring the possibility of endometriosis and PCS as the culprits of my IBS but I would like to get pregnant soon as well. What's your opinion on potential vitamin A overdose from liver products in pregnancy? I love to eat chicken livers with rice and the iron content is great but was warned that it's dangerous during pregnancy 😮. Also, I NEVER eat out because most things are horrible on my stomach but would love to try your version of In N Out dinner. Could you please share what exactly do you order? I'm so confused from their menu! (I'm actually confused in most restaurants in the US since I moved here from Europe. I have Polish ancestors too! :)) Take care! Kasia

Thank you!! I was actually misdiagnosed with PCOS years ago. (I had high levels of testosterone and insulin sensitivity in addition to weight gain and breakouts). It turned out that my hormone imbalance was due to my digestive problems because hormones are produced in the gut. Once I address the gut dysbiosis and figured out which foods were causing inflammation and allergic reactions my hormones leveled out and I got pregnant no problem when we were ready. Do beware that those prenatals go bad - they get dark speckles on them. It’s actually one of the things I like - being able to tell that they are fresh and doesn’t contain a bunch of preservatives. As far as vitamin A overdose, I’m under the impression that if it is a natural form of vitamin A or in whole food sources you don’t need to worry that much. Most cases of toxicity come from the synthetic for of vitamin A. That being said, you can always get your levels checked to keep an eye on it. As for in and out, try ordering a double double protein style with cheese (if you tolerate dairy well) with no onions, no spread, add mustard. If you want more meat you can order a 3 by 3 (3 patties) or 4 by 4 (4 patties) instead of a double double. Hope that helps!😄

did you use lactose free dairy? or dod you use lactase pills
@gritandgroceriesАй бұрын
Nope. For some reason I was able to tolerate more lactose while I was pregnant - not really sure why, but there are so many changes to the body while pregnant.
