@lydia22515 жыл бұрын
I thought the same - I was just thinking of how expensive this would be. I tried eating like Sezzy a year ago and I felt brilliant but I just couldn't afford to keep it up. (Obvs not fruit and veg etc but all the fancier things - Now I just have normal choc etc but less of it). Loved this video though. Inspiring :-) I think it's just working out whats best for you financially and geographically but I too would love to see a budget version of this video xxx

Hey sezzy, good to know that you're trying to be more environmental friendly! Grocery shopping at farmers market or wet market (which I know you do sometimes!) is an awesome way to be eco friendly. Veggies there are not wrapped in plastic. When I shop, I put my fruits straight into the shopping bags and wrap my veggies in kitchen towels (which actually help them stay fresh in the fridge too). And I always bring my own containers for wet ingredients like fish fillets and tofu (tofu doesn't come in plastic containers in our local wet markets), etc. It has been working for me so well. Give it a try and you'll be surprised not only do you use zero plastic for your shopping, but also generate zero plastic wastes/ packaging! :) Hope others find this helpful too.

Hi, Sarah, could you make a video about how to stay active even when it's hard to or something like that ? I tore my ACL and I won't be able to be active like I used to and I worry that gaining the weight back will make my PCOS worse again and I'm scared because I'm horrible at eating healthy. I've been a couch potato, worrying about what's going to happen if I were to need surgery. Thank you ❤
@kirstenmarkey24395 жыл бұрын
Aizza Marin when my roommate tore her acl, she had to wait several months for the repair surgery and stayed pretty active during them. Lots of upper body exercise- arms & shoulders & back for weight training, and abs sessions. Depending on what a doctor assesses about the severity of your injury, they might clear you for stationary bike or rowing in the meantime, and then the post surgery physical therapy is key! She was fully recovered, back to jogging and hiking 9 months post surgery because she was able to keep up her fitness.

May I just start off by saying I’m so happy for your one million milestone! I love the way you describe your diet because I’m kind of in the same boat. I don’t really know how to describe my diet and what suits me, so I say “mostly vegan, somewhat pescatarian.” I steer clear of dairy and luckily we live in a day in age where that’s super easy. I also stay away from things like honey (I will consume local honey if I get really sick or have bad allergies because it’ll clear me up almost instantly.) I also don’t eat meat except for the occasional sushi. But sushi is kind of rare unless I go out to lunch with my sister. I’m open to the idea of becoming completely vegan one day but for now, I’m completely satisfied with how my body feels and functions right now.

I have completed a nutrition degree at university and would not ever advise a keto diet. Paleo is ok in the fact that dairy is eliminated from the diet and a lot of vegetables are recommended to be incorporated into the diet. Although I also would not recommend a paleo diet as it is very unsustainable due to the large focus on meat and the environmental impact. Paleo also the eliminates extremely healthy and important nutritionally dense foods such as legumes and grains. Due to the large focus on meat such as red meats in paleo diets this can lead to an increase in many cancers and health issues later in life. Paleo diet is not supported by a large amount of scientific evidence. The healthiest, most sustainable diet which is the most suited to our anatomy and physiology is consuming a primarily/complete plant based diet.
@averymarie69075 жыл бұрын
I'd have to agree to disagree. Meats can be harmful if you're not being careful about which ones you consume. Our bodies absorb many necessary vitamins and minerals the best from eating meats and egg whites are the best form of protein you can get. Therefore to me, Paleo is an okay route to take as long as you're not eating deli and highly processed meats. Everyone's bodies thrive off of different diets and you just have to find the foods that work best for you! And as Sarah stated in the video, she will have some grains if she really wants some. - From another nutrition major :)
@sheridan74835 жыл бұрын
I'd have to kindly agree to disagree also! A good nutritionist / dietitian will know that all types of diets are tools in their kit. They're really just a different variation of food ratios, each with pro's and con's.. but when used with the right person at the right time, can illicit incredible healing capacity. Eg. Keto is fantastic for those that are insulin resistant (women with PCOS, Pre-diabetics or Type 2 diabetics), but keto would not be ideal for some others. I studied Nutrition & Dietetics, and quickly realised that having a degree means very little. Working with numerous clients and experiencing diversity is where the magic happens! If I've learned anything in my time after my degree, it's that science is great, but listening to each body is better. -From yet another, University qualified nutritionist x

Jam Daer I always wonder is that the same case for me eating meat in Ireland where there is very high quality meat being produced that had been fed with grass year round and hormones and unnecessary chemicals haven’t been used on the cows. The cows are also produced on a much smaller scale than the likes of Brazil, America and Australia. It’s more than likely much less unhealthy for me to eat meat in Ireland than if I was to eat meat in America or Australia. What is it about meat that is carcinogenic?

Why don't you call it a supermarket? I don't think American KZbinrs change their language for Australians so why change yours? 🤷🏻♀️

themissgpg haha what!?? Supermarket is not what we say around here 😂😂😂 we say grocery shop

Sarahs Day everyone I know says supermarket! I've only heard Americans say grocery store! At least you don't say "drug store" instead of chemist/pharmacy, that's going too far! 😝

Re watching this for healthy food ideas... Love watching your grocery store hauls cause AUS prices are way closer to Canadas then the US is.
