Love your surface crochet sweaters, inspiring me to use surface crochet more! I’ve been crocheting for a couple of years and idk if you do already but a way to keep your pieces lasting longer and holding up is blocking/steaming them as well as washing them and storing them correctly as washing machines and hanging them up can distort their shape :)

Those sweaters are so cool. I am a beginner and so far I am just really into blanket making. now inspired to make wearables!

Idk what your personal style is like, but hats-wise, beanies are wayyyy easier to free hand than bucket hats- make rectangle (maybe ribbed), sew into tube, then sew together at one end- done! Also I adore the surface crochet sweaters, remind me of contour lines on a map

Wow!! Those sweaters are amazing amazing. Those sweaters are so stylish; idk your personal style but from this video alone, they are so you. Closet staples. We can learn from your confidence. If you approach yourself and your work genuinely, you can make amazing work from beginner to master! Thanks for sharing! Edit: I also knitted the fourth doctors scarf in high school for a friend!! I pulled it out of a bag while it was WIP and my friend laughed and said it looked like a clown pulling a scarf out of a hat 😂 the whole 14 feet is quite long. Your piece looks great and wearable!

I’m a beginner in crochet too so I get it, I’m an artist first and learning crochet because a new medium for me. With the green sweater, I felt like you were onto something (ALL of your pieces actually) amazing and just needed to step back and revisit to re-edit. I’m so inspired by it right now that I’d love to use it as inspiration for a future project if it’s possible? ALL of your pieces I feel are absolutely amazing especially the stitching techniques you chose with the colors and designs. All of them are wearable and that’s what matters most, GREAT JOB!!👍🏽

Your great at winging it with crochet. I’ve never seen sweaters with squiggles like this before, the orange vest is a cool design. I’m adding eye sweater vest to my list.

I agree that seeing how things hold up is so helpful! I see people making garments with roving type yarns and wonder if they’re scruffy pilled messes in a few months. So thanks for including that!

These are all so cute!! i've been experimenting with surface crochet too + i just finished my first ever jumper (an eye one as well!) Without a pattern, just a tutorial for the little eye square in the middle. I was getting so frustrated not being able to understand patterns but now i feel confident (and patient) enough to just kinda guess and unravel and try again til i get there :) Ps i think the bucket hat actually looks good!

thank you!! kinda why i wanted to start this channel to help people understand crocheting without patterns and learn to crochet in theyre own special way :)

The vest is gorgeous. There is a way to do the rib onto the fabric after the vest is made. That way you don't have to measure anything.

Are you also making/crocheting the sweaters you are doing the surface crochet on? Or taking pre-made ones and adding your art? They are really so good. (PS- was that your cat screaming 😹?)
@ZoeBarcott Жыл бұрын
whole sweater is made by me :) but i definitely think you could still do the surface crushing on top of a normal sweater!
@Muted_Marcus Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by your projects holding up? Do you mean like whether they still fit your taste or is it something else? P. S. I love your black sweater. Your use of surface crocheting is really cool, it reminds me of topography.

like if theyre unraveling. and not staying together/ or if they still look okay :)
