Hi Jason, I wanted to let you know that I have been a subscriber for. the last 7-8 months and I really enjoy your channel.it’s really too bad that that there doesn’t seem to be that many hobbyists that enjoy iTanganyikans as much as we do. Keep up the great work buddy…
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
G'day mate, thanks for subscribing and supporting my channel for so long. Really appreciate that! It is a shame that there aren't many other Tanganyikan channels but hopefully this channel can help put them in the spot light a little more! They really are underrated fish!

Thanks for the Calvis update. As someone who keeps black calvises and orange comps it's nice to see anything on them. I use tank water too for my garden. Garden update?
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
No worries Troy, I like giving updates on them and I am a little "calvus heavy" on my channel haha but they are my fave fish so hard not to be a little bias towards them. Good that you're using your aquarium water on your garden mate, it would love ya for it. But as for a garden update from me? Hmmm probably not as I don't really have anything interesting to show you guys.

I always use a hose to remove my Tanganyikan fry especially those in a shell! Either an airline hose or 1/4” flexible hose.
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that is a good way to catch them quickly. I have used that method for catching my Neolamprologus tretocephalus fry out of their parents tank.

Cheers Paul, same here, great seeing them in large schools like that. I got the shells from my Cichlid Club. But they are called Ton shells.

I didn't realise how yellow the Calvus fry are, they look like tiny Comps!
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
They are more of a brownish colour actually. They looked more yellow because of the torch I used to light the aquarium just for the video and my phone camera tends to saturate yellows. But yeah they definitely not that yellow!
