You're right...artists really DO need to talk about finances! Thank you very, very much for your T bill advice. I never heard/thought about this option before.

You bet! This definitely helps when a down-payment comes in. I can't really do too much of anything wasteful or risky with it so i just buy those bills with it rather than sitting it in a bank.

I think there are ways of doing this in other countries but I don't know the specifics. I think they would be more of buying bonds.
