Don't get me wrong Inga but your videos always put me right into sleep! And always make me hungry when I am in my "not eating for days" phase! I really really love and appreciate the joy, comfort and little happiness it brings to my boring little life. Thank you so much!! Context: I am a mad insomniac!!!!! I literally don't sleep for days!! EDIT: SO IF YOU CAN DO THIS TO MY LIFE I AM PRETTY SURE YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!!

I am a lazy cook (Coming from a family that is full of cooking magicians who prefer the long-way / from-scratch) but find comfort from watching your preparations because I'm the same way as a stress baker. Whenever I am stressed I literally resort to baking (yes with music playing -- or blaring -- in the background). I didn't even know I was doing that until someone termed it and I was like "ohmygoodness, that's me" Your videos are like little olafs in the weeks that you post (warm hugs).😊

These are seriously my favorite videos of yours! Just so relaxing and chill. Even the fully silent ones with just text. Also, I'd LOVE to see a video about your coffee//tea settup. While you were eating the mac and cheese I noticed a few things behind you and I'm curious what you use/recommend!

Wow. I feel exactly the same about cookings role in my life, really since I was a child it’s been a comfort in many levels. And, even though I’ve cooked professionally and been in hospitality my whole life it’s still a kind of private need and safe place. Appreciate your honesty so much and I can totally relate!

I understand working hard for something and putting your heart and soul in it and then it's possibly, or definitely not going to happen. For me that was a job i went to college to try and pursue until a back injury in early 2020... it was certainly a a let down ❤ hopefully whatever you were trying to do eventually works out for you inga ❤❤

Really really relatable. Food provides me comfort too, so it makes me worse when I am feeling so down thst I can’t even muster the energy to make food, that is when I know things are really so bad. Thanks inga, keep doing what you do. You are inspiring.

I'm sorry to hear that things have been stressful. I totally do the same with using hobbies to keep myself busy. I appreciate your thoughtful and beautiful videos as a little escape too. I've lost my connection to cooking a little bit recently, but hopefully some recent stress of mine will end up as a good thing and I can be excited to get into the kitchen again. Take care. 🍲

I also cook/bake when I'm stressed or upset! I'm not sure when it started but I can always count on a simple cookie recipe, or an extravagant video game themed meal to put me at ease.

Hey Inga! I love your content. Your videos always put me at ease. I also cook to relieve stress. It forces me to focus on what I am doing (like to avoid getting cut or burned ouch!) and the end result is very satisfying. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. :) I wanted to say that I appreciate you, your effort, and your videos. Hugs to you and Happy Holidays.

Re: food as a "tool" against stress. Alongside the reasons you listed, things like chopping also let you use up pent-up energy that often are just present if you're experiencing a lot of anxiety. Also, eating can not only be a pleasant sensory experience but also trick your nervous system into feeling safer!

Nice to catch up with you again, Inga! I never thought about butternut squash with Mac and cheese. I’ll have to try it sometime. I’m glad you found a replacement for the OG glass pot, and it also has a lid! Whatever course your product goes, you’ve accomplished so much this far. You’ll work through these challenges and find a solution, I just know it! Keep your chin up, Inga. We’re all rooting for you! 🎉😍❤

Back when Instant Pots were all the rage, people were touting how much faster it made the cooking process. But like you, I find the process of cooking and filling the house to be medatative. I get how it's useful if you're feeding a family, but most of the time it's just me. So anything that speeds things along and takes things out of my hands is actually not so appealing. I also love how you were so skeptical about that very expensive toaster back during lockdown but now it makes an appearance in almost every video.

Sometimes it’s good to be a bit more demanding and dominating to get to your goal just to show to the people that you’re not a pushover and taking you more seriously. Being nice and kind to the people that actually makes your own life easier and colorful, and the rest you can just forget and forgive (when you can). Cheers 🥂

WOW! Did not know NYT had a cookie truck (so cool!) cuz I reside in the middle of nowhere and under a rock (hahaha). Need to make those 'taters with nut butter and Indiana sorghum. Thanks, Inga, for giving ideas. 🥰 (Mrs. Meyer's Iowa Pine multi-surface spray cleaner is my fav for winter '24.) Edit: have butternut squash so thanks for another inspo. My grandmother was an early adopter of the Visions cookware--loved her wholesome food.
