Lots of controversy regarding high vs. low fat diets in regards to cardiovascular disease risk, for those who are wondering if emphasizing fat is healthy. However, many peer-reviewed studies have been published showing there is no significant difference between the 2 with regards to LDL and other markers. Compare this to a definite association between carb intake and the same markers. Bottom line: don't be afraid to incorporate healthy fats into your diet (of course with your doctor's advice) - thanks Autumn for helping to dispel that fallacy!

Hey thanks for the video …. I found using almond flour as the base for the pancakes is better than just the protein powder I don’t like just the texture of that but hey that’s a personal thing but your pancakes look pretty good with the blueberries dripped over them. I understand a lot of people watch your videos for health and weight loss but I’d love it if you put some more videos about how to gain muscle.
@AutumnBates2 жыл бұрын
Almond flour is a great addition, although I would still make sure to use a full serving of protein powder so that you don't miss out on the complete protein for the meal.

The portions are very small! I could never be satisfied with those tiny pancakes; how is one egg, half a banana and a scoop of protein powder considered a whole meal for an adult?
@jennalud47482 жыл бұрын
It really is because of the protein aspect. It's very high in protein so it keeps you fuller longer!
@AutumnBates2 жыл бұрын
Yup, meals don't have to look huge in order to be very nutrient dense. This recipe alone has around 26 grams of complete protein. Plus, with the added fat from the butter, it further boosts satiety and helps prevent energy crashes throughout the day. And also... not sure if you saw that "spaghetti" dinner... but that volume was HUGE 😂 (and hugely nutrient dense 🤓)

I take magnesium as well, but I found out that I have to take it much earlier in the day, because I'm one of the weirdos that it keeps awake! The first time I took it, I tried it twice in the hours before bed, and both times I was awake hours after I should have been. I took a break and tried it again at the same time (to make sure that was the cause) and yep, same thing. I don't want to miss out of the benefits of magnesium, so I now take it earlier in the day. :)
