The naengmyun at the bbq place is Hamheung naengmyun, which is thinner and chewier. That Michelin guide restaurant is serving Pyeongyang naengmyun which is thicker and less chewy, and with a much milder broth. They're supposed to be different. The Hamheung style is much more commonly found, while the Pyeongyang style is supposed to be a posher style of naengmyun. The biggest fans of the Pyeongyang style tend to be older folks, and I mean like really older folks, like 60+.

The reason you didn't like the naengmyeon is because that is pyeongyang naengmyeon is which very different from the typical naengmyeon you see around South Korea!

Is it just me or is her korean not that good? Pls don't be offended and correct me if i'm wrong. I'm not good at recognizing if her dialect is just like that. I can't really tell:)
@nataliekim58682 ай бұрын
Her korean is great!

Her Korean is good! But I will say, what is the purpose of pointing that out? Especially if you’re not good at recognizing dialect… seems a little pointless!
@Unknow-112-s4cАй бұрын
Well, it’s not up to you for you to have an opinion about someone else speaking in a language that you probably don’t even speak yourself so why point that out that is so irrelevant like what you thought was gonna happen if you point that out like I’m so confused and for someone who is trying to learn Korean it’s hard and when I pronounce 한글 words (Korean alphabet) in a American accent so it sound off and now I’m forcing myself to speak without the accent but it’s hard.she literally is Korean so. What’s wrong with speaking in a dialect?
