John from www.okraw.com shares with you what he eats on a plant based raw food diet. First, John will share the produce he purchased at the wholesale produce market. Second, John will show you the diversity of produce he is growing in his garden that he can also eat during the week. After watching this video, you will have a better understanding on what this successful long term raw foodist eats.

Thanks for the great video, John. Very informative. I bought a juicer, a blender and a dehydrator from your discountjuicers web site this spring (I use the blender and the juicer every day, love them both!), so imagine my happy surprise to stumble across this video you made showing us around your garden. Very cool to see your set up. I'll check out your other videos too. It can be tricky making the shift to a raw foods diet, so I appreciate you explaining how you go about it.

proper tilling time makes all the difference. The insects typically live in the soil. In the Basque region where I live, I pay a man to till my large garden with his tractor-he first tills it to flip the grass under, then returns 4 weeks later to fine till and then I work the soil even more on my own, then as I pull plants that have finished producing and want to plant those that will keep into winter, I till again.

Not sure if you are still around but try to do an experiment where you highly mineralize the soil and see if it keeps the bugs away. I've read and heard that plants are more prone to being eaten do to lack of minerals in soil.

Many organic farmers let nature take its course unless a real problem arises. In my small organic garden, I hand pick pests right from the leaves and place them in small dishes for birds to eat.
