If you haven't looked into it, you might want to contact one of the local guys in the tree-climbing business. To see if they can design a simple 2-to-1 rope/pulley device that you can hook to the bridge rail, and slip your rope into it if there is a heavy haul needed. Thus halving the energy required to haul up. I enjoy your enthusiasm!

@@Wanaanabe I dont think it's the silver plating. Most tableware is stainless steel nowadays, which is just an easier way to say it's iron mixed with a bunch of other elements that keep it from rusting. Now if he *does* find one that's rusted he would actually find a good thing because people stopped making full iron tableware decades ago. A rarity.

Not to be dark or anything but those where kids bikes and there where two of them- and two blankets- And then you found a brass knuckle pocket knife, which could of been used in a child murder. they put the blanket over there head hit them with the brass knuckle and hide there bikes in the water put the blankets in the water and let the body’s flow down the river. also, the brass knuckle seemed to be down there about the same amount of time as the bikes and blankets.

Stainless steel won't rust easily, need some form of acid to make them rust. Okay, here is the breakdown for legality of brass knuckles per state (some cities in those states may have different laws): Legal in HI, TX, GA, SC, IN, MT, ID, WY, SD, and IA. Legal with permit ND, WI, OH, CT, OR, NE NM, KY, WV, WA, MD, DE, NC, LA, MS, AL, and FL. Illegal in AK, WA, MN, MI, ME, VT, NH, NY MA, RI, PA, NJ, IL, NV, CO, MO, CA, KS, AR, TN, and OK.

The bike you pulled up looks in pretty good condition and could be fixed. If you notice the wheels have a lot of spokes which is a stronger wheel. Another reason its worth fixing. The spoon I am sure is made of stainless steel and that is why it didn't rust . If you look it say it on it. Lots of table ware are made of it. It's not like its worth a lot money. The reason I know so much about bicycles I been fixing and rebuilding them sense I was a young kid . It's a lot of fun to fix a little kids bike. Sometimes their bike is safer.

Most tableware is made of 304 stainless steel, which contains just enough steel to stick to a magnet but not enough to rust.
