What I FOUND Scuba Diving After His TRAGIC Death Left Me Speechless! Firefighters responded at 1:23 a.m. to a report of a missing kayaker. Forsyth County’s Swiftwater team was already in the water and had located the kayak but requested assistance with the possible jurisdiction being in Gwinnett County due to the location of the kayak.
Gwinnett’s Swiftwater 14 (SW14) made entrance into the water at the McFinnis Ferry boat ramp. Air 1 responded to the request for assistance but was unable to see any victims while using their infrared and their spotlight was not in operation. After several unsuccessful attempts to retrieve the rope attached to the kayak, operations were moved to the banks. The search was discontinued once fog conditions created low visibility and hindered further travel. At 3:30 a.m., the command decision was made to restart the search during daylight hours.
At 7:17 a.m., Gwinnett Swiftwater Rescue Technicians headed back to the Chattahoochee River and reentered the water at approximately 8:30 a.m. with assistance from Air 1, Johns Creek Fire Department, Forsyth County’s Dive Team, US National Park Service, Georgia Department of National Resources, Forsyth County’s Sherriff Office, and Suwanee Police Department. The candle holders are definitely part of a funeral rites custom. A shame he passed so young. But people need to find biodegradable holders so the rivers, creeks, lakes don't get polluted. I think in China they use paper lanterns. Stay safe in those waters Brit & Lucas

I agree, in u.k. the hindus dump massive amounts of pieces of clay, zinc, iron and nickle metal prayer offerings. The Thames river ask them not to do it, but so far they have no care for water pollution. Maybe usa can fine them, to make them stop. Sorry for the young man, but there should be a better way.

They're usually made of clay, which is a naturally occurring soil type, especially near rivers. It's a way of returning to the earth what is hers anyway.

Those lanterns are made of wire, millions of them yearly come down in our waters, mountains, fields etc injuring animals and killing both land and aquatic.😢

@DL Haye such a crying shame. I've seen many divers find them and many big funeral rite objects in our waters. Even containers with human ashes. Whatever the custom in India etc they can't be doing this in North America. We don't want our waters and animals suffering. There are laws against pollution, littering, disposing of garbage and human remains. We see aquatic wildlife covered in plastic, wires etc die , deer, Moose, raccoons, skunk etc hurt by the trash. I never thought of farm animals as even in my old hometown that was a farming town, we didn't encounter it.

@@TheWestlandgirl I believe you're thinking of sky lanterns. These aren't that. The ones he found in this video are little clay bowls that float on the water. Once they sink they decompose to their original natural clay state.

I am so very sorry to hear about his passing 😭 if only folks would start taking signs put up seriously none of these deaths would ever occur 😭 here in Alaska we have signs posted all through out our trails that say “Please stay on the path for your own safety” and we had this couple from Hong Kong that left the trail got lost missed their cruise ship heading to Juneau and they were finally found several hours later soaking wet hypothermia and scared so please tourists and adventurers abide by any and all signs posted they will get you back home 😭🙏🏽

I once found a grave marker plaque under water. It weighed about 40lbs, but I pulled it up and sold it 10yrs later to a collector. It was really pretty and solid bronze. I did my research and found out it had never been used, just discarded. That was one of my coolest finds.
