For the candle/college thing, you could get one of those candle warmers! They plug into the wall and slowly melt the candle from the bottom up. I use mine all the time with my 3-wick Bath and Body Works candles and it works great! Hopefully your future college will be okay with it because there is no open flame!

Every year we give our dogs new toys on Christmas, haha they don't really get it but they are super happy to get the gifts. I also gave one of my friends a Mac lipstick and John green books :)

In my family this year, we did Secret Santa. I was SS to my mother and bought her these really pretty Vince Camuto earrings that matched a necklace my dad had purchased earlier for her for Valentines day. I also bought her a pair of navy blue tights.

I bought/gave my best friend an ipad since she moved 2 hours away 6 months ago and its really hard to visit each other with school, price of gas and weather conditions. We've been best friends for 11 years so not seeing each other every day is unbelievably hard but with the ipad we can now face time each other which is the closets thing we got to seeing each other and making Friday coffee and movie night a little bit easier. I got a candle warmer for Christmas - best thing ever. You put a candle on it and it melts it down. It's a great thing to take to college because you don't light the candle - you melt it. You should look into one! :)

I always give my mum a "secret" gift, actually I've been doing that for three years and she has no idea who it's from. I pretend to be santa and I wake up in the middle of the night and I put the present infront of the fireplace with an "old style" letter and she's totally bought it every year. Anyway, this year I gave her a pillow made of fake reindeer skin and she loved it. I just love the look in her eyes and I love that she believes in Santa but at the same time I wish she knew that it was me. I've planed to do this every year, but I might go to the US as an exchange student this fall (I'm from Sweden) so I have to work on a solution. Speaking of being an exchange student. When you finish high school in Sweden you are 19 y/o, and if I become and exchange student for a year I'll be 20(!?) years old when I apply for college and I want to go to college in USA... Embarrassing bc I'll be so much older than everyone else...
