Lovely gifts Freya. Not a great Christmas for us sadly, my mum ended up in hospital on Christmas Eve & still in poorly. Its was also my dad's memorial on Christmas Day. However we tried our best to enjoy it the best we could. This coming year is to simply enjoy each day as it comes. More time for myself & to stop putting so much pressure on myself a year of saying no, more too. Have a wonderful new year guys, whatever you choose to do. 😊 All the best for 2025. 🎉

I’m totally with you on no plans for NYE. My husband is a DJ and is always working NYE. I stay at home with my 3 girls. Previously we’ve all be in bed before midnight, but last year they all wanted to stay up to see the New Year in. They were 8yrs and 3 years (twins). I normally just do a picky tea, have some music and a movie. Then we wait to hear Daddy’s NYE stories from his parties on New Years Day. 😊

I’m a senior and I live in a little tiny house and my house is just full of stuff that I no longer use. so my resolution this year is to slowly get rid of things that I no longer use and I have a hard time getting rid of because I’m very sentimental , but because of my age, also, I need to downsize so my children eventually won’t go crazy when they have to remove all the things out of my house. I love all your decorations and your style and taste in furniture and all your little accessories. I really like it all and I wish I could start over and redo my house in that style, but as I said I’m I’m a senior now. I have disabilities from really bad bones so please take care of your bones. I have osteoporosis really severely in my family and unfortunately, I have become another victim of it even though I’m doing my best not to , so really take care of your bones if it is in your family . your dog is precious and I just love all the Christmas things he always receives. Have a wonderful time in your cabin. That will be nice to just dis connect. Not listen to news or TV kinda hard a little bit not to do that but at the same time it’s really refreshing . so have a wonderful time and happy birthday when that arrives. Have a wonderful birthday. also look forward to a new year watching you. I really enjoy your Vlog.

A very Happy New Year to you and Tom - you had some fabulous gifts so enjoy them all especially building the Lego castle! I'm another who hates New Year's Eve - when I was a child as we lived up north it was a much bigger deal than Christmas day itself and my mum never cut the cake until after 'first foot' but once we'd moved it was never the same and I always felt it was a very forced gaiety. We were in bed at the usual time and I only heard one firework so maybe it's a thing of the past. I do hang on to the Christmas decorations until 12th night though as it takes me so long to put them up I need to enjoy them till the last possible day 🤶😄

I have been waiting for nearly three years for surgery on my leg so as my mobility is very limited, I have really loved watching your videos Freya, I have been able to go to places and see what you have been doing in the comfort of my own home, thank you. My resolution for 2025 is to bite the bullet and pay for private surgery as I have so missed travelling and just even going round the shops. Happy New year Freya and love your content.

My Christmas was a challenge. We had a 2 hour trip to get my mum she sat down and said she hadn't bothered with presents or anything. She then spent her time glaring at my mother in law because she going deaf and she didn't want to engage with my mum's 1000th rendition of her dog story.. December had been hard as I had awful flu. My mil got me a mug lol very different gifts to you. 😅 I did get some biscuits and mince pies

Happy New years to you, Tom and Barney. I’m totally with you for NYE. We have a takeaway delivered, PJ’s on and generally asleep by midnight! We are starting a low spend year challenge from January. Having had a lot of big changes over the last 2.5years, we need a reset and a chance to slow down and have some peace. We also generally use January-March to have a good sort out of the house before getting ready to get back out in the garden and the cricket season!! Wishing you all a healthy happy new year. Christmas was hard for us this year my dad was diagnosed in November with terminal liver cancer and a short amount of time left with us. His care over Christmas has been difficult as he has also been diagnosed with vascular dementia. I have to move him into a nursing home tomorrow and think it will be the hardest thing ive done in my life. I will be the same as you on new years eve as for me there is no celebration. My new years resolution is to try and enjoy everyday and make some good memories as you never know whats around the corner do you. Hi Kelley I know what your going through it’s so painful, I lost my dad in feb this year to Liver cancer and my mums five year anniversary of her death was on the 18th December. I’ve hated Christmas since she died but this year I’ve felt a bit of joy again. Grief is a weird thing it’s never ending and a new way of life. You will get through this we don’t have a choice do we ❤️

I am with you on staying in for new year. Last year I was asleep by midnight as I had to get whatever sleep I could with a new born. This year my partner has to work a night shift so again I’ll be alone at home with the baby again and I must say, I really don’t mind missing out on the pressures of having fun on nye at all!

Shes terrified of fireworks so i guess its the bang noise she was scared of. We chucked all the crackers in the bin and had to show her there was no more. Bless her. Shes a big wolf like doggie too. Three of us were getting over flu on Christmas day. I had to cancel my mother and brother coming over. My youngest who's 14 will stay up with me on New years eve. We play games, act daft then watch the fireworks. My hubs will be asleep as he's always up at 5 or 6am. And to think, before kids we were party people. 😄🥂🎶

I love the idea of goals, but I do really struggle to put them in to place. And stick with them. Think that's my ADHD I get over whelmed and put too much pressure on myself.I would like to try and get better with money month to month. I buy loads that I shouldn't haha. I want to continue on my weight loss journey. Having started losing back in August I'm 3 st down but have way more to go. Continue with my over payment on my mortgage. Big one is to be more present in the moment and not hanker over the past as much. But as I say it's keeping them going. Any tips or tricks would be gratefully received in your vlog though x x

Hi Freya. You got beautiful Christmas presents can’t wait to see your Harry Potter castle built, my daughter would love that she’s an avid Harry Potter fan. Like you Freya I don’t enjoy New Year at all and I always think I will just go to bed and watch a nice movie but my partner loves to stay up and watch rubbish tv (Hogmanay tv is dire in Scotland 😂) so I give in and stay up with him but this year his son is coming so I will have to stay up. We are moving house on the 11th January so haven’t really had much chance to think about goals for next year just hoping to get out in nature see more of Riley and stay as healthy as possible. I don’t tend to make huge goals now as I used to but never stuck to them so I think for me little goals are more achievable. I found when I made big goals I didn’t stick to them then felt a failure at the end of the year and that brought me down so I’m not doing that anymore. I love your videos and I am so grateful for all the hard work you put in for us. I want to wish you, Tom and adorable 🥰 Barney a very healthy and happy New Year. 🎉❤️💕💕
