Ive used the DJM 2000 many times, I never had to press the lcd that hard (actually its so sensitive i just have to place my finger on the lcd for it to work.) I think your unit might be faulty. Also even if the mixer says 'cd input', if your cd players output a line level output you can use the line input no problem. Its a bummer that you have these issues because that thing costs a bomb. Thats why I switched to Allen and Heath recently.
