Hey Rachel, I really like your content and have been following your progress. So I have some background with competition in freediving. For pool disciplines I dont do warm up dives except static. In static I do 3x warmup dives before my OT. The first warm up is frc + 30 seconds with contractions. For the 2nd and 3rd warm up is just holding breathe + 1:30 seconds of contractions. For depth I still do warm up dive but only one. I dive to 12-15m and do a little hang, depends when the contractions come, and then I slowly accend to the surface. :) I see that your instructor is Vincent, he is awesome :)

Cool, thank you for sharing! Have you found anything that delays the start of your contractions for static? And yeah, Vincent is an awesome guy. :)

I do a little bit of hyperventilation at the last 20-30 seconds. And what I mean by this hyperventilation is that I sigh and completly relax my whole body. I only do this preparation for pool. You can try it out but do it cautiosly. For depth I just do normal tidal breathing due to stronger diving reflex within the dive.

Since you first started the zero to hero program, how long did it take you to reach SSI level3?

I'd say it took me about 1.5 to 2 months of diving on a regular basis!
