The pre race flap. What a classic. Good work Ed dipping your toe in this duathlon / triathlon game!

I love seeing this in comparison to you before the hill climbs last year where you were really calm and this time you’re slightly out of your usual comfort zone and it shows with the pinning/sticking issues

Nicely done. That feeling of running through treacle for the last 2.5km is always a unique feeling!

Good effort Ed. I've done that race twice, good friendly vibe there.

Electrical tape down first on the bike and helmet. Then put the number stickers on. Much much easier to take off and clean off afterwards. The helmet sticker is mainly for the race photographers.

Bang on .. I use masking tape 👍

Ot too shabby at running either 👌 Loved how nervous you were before 🤣 just reminded me of when I did my first triathlon and I was shouting at my gear........ What do I need! what do I do! 🤪

Nice one, at least you had fun.

Nice one throwing your hat in the ring! I loved your recollection of the happy riders setting out on the bike leg as you came in. I'll be doing my first duathlon in April. One of my teammates says I need rubber bands for my shoes if I run my bike out to the transition mark 👀 How did you decide to tackle your transition from run to bike?
@edlaverack2 жыл бұрын
I actually didn’t bother, I just wore my cycling shoes and then just jumped on the bike. It might save a second or two but my transition times were pretty close to the fastest. So wouldn’t worry if it’s your first duathlon.

Well done Ed hopefully towards the end of your career when cycling isn’t the priority you could try a triathlon

Soon signing up to my first duathlon London duathlon in Richmond park doing the half which is similar distances to what you have done, interesting to find out what it’s like 🤟🏾

Really interesting & fun to follow your journey into the unknown - shame no video footage is allowed - I mean it would help popularise the sport🤷♀️Well done for a decent result - maybe they should introduce compulsory smiling & waving between competitors in RRs 🖐😄

Fastest road bike? I assume the quicker rides were on TT bikes?
