Haha thank you! I normally don't read 30 books in a month when I'm working full time, but my job has had very limited hours because of the pandemic, so I've had way more free time. I am a pretty speedy reader which helps too, but once I'm back to full time hours I'll probably go back to reading my usual 12-15 books a month.

I finished Warbreaker recently and loved it as well. I love every Sanderson I have read so far, but I agree that Warbreaker is a really good one! I am working my way through the STormlight Archive now as well, trying to get through them all before book 4 lol.

Glad you enjoyed Warbreaker too! :) I wish it got the same amount of hype as other Sanderson books. Ooooo that's so awesome! I'm very excited for Rhythm of War. I'm contemplating doing a reread to gear up for it, but the books are so massive and I've been wanting to read the Dark Tower series through completion so we'll have to see haha.

FINALLY someone else feels the same way about Nevernight!!! Like it wasn't bad but also wasn't my thing either?! I haven't read any Sanderson books yet. Have you read a lot of his books? Which book do you recommend I start with?
@taylortalkstales81064 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you feel the same way. I was a bit nervous admitting I didn't like it since it was so popular, but at the same time I want to be as honest and open as possible on my channel. Ooooo. I would suggest giving Warbreaker a shot first. That way you can see if you like Sanderson's work without the big commitment of some of his other books. If you like it then I do suggest The Stormlight Archives. I would say that is his strongest series. Mistborn is good too, though I haven't gotten super far into that series yet.

I just read If It Bleeds and loved it as well 😊 Life of Chuck was definitely my favourite! I could see if being very divisive for people, a real love it or hate it kind of story, but I just loved the metaphorical aspects and the emotional depth King brought to that one
@taylortalkstales81064 жыл бұрын
Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it too. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate Life of Chuck. I enjoyed the three act aspect of the story and how it basically starts from the end and works its way back.

@@taylortalkstales8106 Yes! I feel like telling the story in reverse like that just made the story even more effective

Dark matter and Ghostland are a couple of my favorites from the past couple years. Good books. Can't believe you read 30 that's impressive. Thank you for the content.
@taylortalkstales81064 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and the comment! Both Dark Matter and Ghostland were very enjoyable. Thanks! :) I typically don't read 30 books in a month during normal circumstances (when I'm working), but I've been taking advantage of having way more free time the past couple of months to read a ton.

Impressive. You read 30 books and me 6 .... I try to manage at least ten books a month it's challenging sometimes. The best book I read was The Institute by Stephen King and know you've read it. Loved it!
@taylortalkstales81064 жыл бұрын
Oh yes I loved The Institute as well! Thank you so much :). I will say I normally don't get 30 books read in a month when I'm working, but since I work in a public school and my hours have been very limited, I have had way more free time on my hands. Typically I read 12-15 books in a month (not counting rereads) but it varies slightly (I read more in the fall, winter, and spring than I do summer for instance). I think 10 books a month is a great goal!
@SuperStrangSshadow4 жыл бұрын
@@taylortalkstales8106 Thanks. Sometimes I do read 100 books a year but not always I make it. But want to make ten or twelve books a month. Need to spend less time on other hobbies and read even more. It also help to watch your videos to get into a reading mood. =)

I still need to finish Mistborn. Once you finish, I think you'll be in for a treat with Warbreaker. I think it's an underrated Sanderson book. Glad to hear you enjoyed If It Bleeds!

To give you some encouragement, from my personal experience, reading speed is a skill you can often develop (just like art or athletics). The more and more often you read, the better and faster you can become. It certainly doesn't happen overnight, but over the years of being a very regular reader I've noticed I've become significantly faster than I used to be. It doesn't always change for people but it's always worth a shot.
