I think I probably would have read just as much though. I tried my best for the video buy felt a bit down, but generally I also game a lot and watch a lot of shows, so I guess it evened it out. I read the Simon Snow a long time ago but always kind of considered it fanfic of The Fandom We Don’t Talk About Anymore. Couldn’t really get over that

Love how realistic this is, I feel you on being distracted!! I started The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels but I’m moving SO slowly. I’m enjoying it but am feeling unfocused and distracted, haha. I’m planning on reading The Familiar next and maybe I’ll just jump right into that and see how I like it! Also listening to Even As We Breathe for my book club 😊

The Wisteria’s Society also just has a lot of infodumping in the first few chapters too. It takes a while before you get to the actual plot. I think you might like The Familiar too!

Ooof I feel you, sometimes I feel like a book and I just meet at the wrong time? Maybe I will like it better in a few months or even a few years, but not right now... I really tried this year to dnf books earlier before they pull me into a reading slump because that happened to me last year 🤞I still find it hard because I always want to finish everything 🙈

@@livlaufeyson1801 I almost always finish books cause I want to also properly explain why I dislike something, and I can’t do that if I only read half of it
