My wedding was perfect both white and trad except my husband and his people decided to come very later for the trad. I woke up very early, got ready, took enough pictures and ended up waiting for hours I got so pissed. I don’t know if I’m petty but now whenever there’s a family event I take my time and drag my feet sometimes 🙊🙈. If they were late for my trad we can be late for any other event.

I got married in the heat of covid & I wouldn't even change a thing. Had a church wedding, after which refreshments & souvenirs were distributed to everyone present & then had an intimate reception with just 30 family & close friends. It was exactly what I wanted, can't even lie about how happy i was about the unnecessary expenses that I didn't have to spend on. Truth be told, no matter how much you spend on your wedding, just know that 1year later it wldnt matter. So spend wisely.

Some vendors are highly irresponsible🤦 Same thing your hairstylist did, was what my sister's photographer did. He sent an inexperienced assistant and my sister kept on calling him hours before the wedding and he kept on lying that he was on his way. Dude never showed up! The pictures his assistant took looked like they were taken with low budget android phones🤦 My sister was lucky Sha! One of her old friends who is also a photographer took it upon himself to also take pictures and videos of her wedding for free. It was his pictures that now made sense. Until today, my sister regrets why she didn't give the contract to him in the first place🤦 PS: The photographer that disappointed was a childhood friend who used to take pictures of people in church that year. So she felt she was patronizing an old friend but that was her greatest undoing🤦

I've always thought that combined weddings are better because you just stress all the stress in one day. Vendors: My baker, DJ, MC get my worst regrets. About wedding costs, I, on the other hand, regret that I chose to do a low budget wedding; I've always wanted a ball dress but had to wear a mermaid dress because of fabric. In fact, if I could do my wedding again, I'd change a lot of things.

2 things I regret, the cake and d photographer. The cake maker kept delaying and giving excuses on why I could see it, but because she had done my sisters cake d year before, I was relaxed that it would be ok. She was to bring the cake to my house the day b4 d wedding , but more excuses and she didn’t show….so the first time I saw the finished work was at the wedding venue. A decade later and the thing is still peppering me. D cake looked nothing like what was in the picture I had given her, and it was plain, unimaginative and ugly. Wanted to cry. The photographer came from my husbands side. He had been covering all their events for years. I ended up with a few pictures of me and my husband together, three or four of my entire family, and over 1000 of his family members. All his aunties and uncles and their children, and distant relations from his side, rolls and rolls of their pictures. Most of whom I didn’t know I should hv just gone with my own photographer and saved myself the grief.
