Thank you for the flip through, trying to decide which science to pick for my upcoming 5th and 2nd graders. We have used God's big story 1, for my 1st grader and levels 3, 4, and 5 for a family bible study. It wasn't my original purpose but God has definitely blessed us through Generations. I am purchasing their science and history for next year and can't wait to use even more of this amazing curriculum! 💗

This was great. I’m really considering using some generations materials. Do they go through high school with science?

We’ve really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, they do not go through high school science at this time. They have high school curriculums for literature and history but are still working on science.

Can this curriculum be used for all ages?

We use it for grades 2-8, and it’s been good. She joins in for the readings, videos, and activities. I will say, however, that I don’t use the workbook with my 2nd grader, and they do have other curriculums better suited for the younger grades if you have little ones.

How does this compare to Apologia's series? Do you know?

Just a few thoughts that come to mind: Both have activities and opportunities for hands-on learning. Both honor God as Creator. From what I’ve seen, there are more scriptural references and applications in Generations. Generations includes video links. Apologia uses a guided notebooking approach for recall, while Generations uses more textbook-style questions. Hope that helps a bit! ☺️
