Great video Peter. Nature walks are great. I went on a hike with my son yesterday. The leaves and little creeks are beautiful. I am glad you are continuing to live life to its fullest. I will have to catch the Bear series. I have heard good things about it. Stay strong and positive.

Always pleased to see you . I would be very interested in your blood work. I am glad that you have wrapped your mind around the fact that life may not be quite as active as you are used to. As you stated you have to “get your mind right.” Please remember you have had a life altering surgery and that you will find the pace that works for you. Keeping you in my thoughts 😊

I always enjoy your videos and your outlook on your life. My very best thoughts are with you. Some recommendations for more fun watching (I loved The Bear, btw): -What We Do In The Shadows, both the movie, and now the series! -Reservation Dogs (the series) -LetterKenny (the series) -Once you get through the majority of the LetterKenny series, watch both seasons of "Shoresy." -The Americans (the series) -The English (the series) -Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (the series with John Krasinski)

Loved The Bear! Only wish their were more episodes. Each surgery takes longer to recover from in my Neuroendocrine experience sadly. Recovering from my fourth in 2 & a half years came with lots of complications. Thanks for the update and stay well with your positive attitude Peter.

Hi Peter lovely to see you and learn more about your interests. I love walking and reading too and a good way I find to clear the head a bit is to go to the beach particularly in winter. Would love to hear about your neck exercises and hopefully resolution of difficulties in that area as I know how problematic these issues are. Sorry to hear about your ongoing health worries Peter but am hoping things turn out well for you. It's certainly something you can do without. Glad you're still enjoying your work and social side sounds good with like minded people. Best wishes to you and your family as always .

Peter, I have a friend who suffered from neuroendocrine tumors in his gut and organs. He was treated over a few months at Cedars Sinai in LA. They were able to zap the tumors very selectively and even on a cellular level to extend his life for several years. I don't know if that is of any help to you. If you know somebody in LA who can house you, perhaps you can see the docs there. They are world class specialists. I wish I had found you earlier and known it was neuroendocrine tumors you suffer from. I would have let you know this earlier. Ask Cedars if they have charity care or teaching funds that could cover the costs. They may know of somebody across the pond who specializes in this. Best wishes. You are quite a guy.

Has your diet changed since the diagnosis? There's a lot of buzz around the ketogenic diet being effective against cancer. Primarily because it starves the tumours of glucose which cancer seems to thrive on. There are lots of KZbin success stories and a lot of research undertaken by Dr. Thomas Seyfried.

Why or how does somonenwith your athletic profile get cancer ??
@alibettenson8419 Жыл бұрын
The older I get, the less I understand about why 'anyone' gets cancer. For example, my friend's brother got bowel cancer (was fobbed off for over 2 years by his doctor as he was young, fit & healthy & the doctor said it was just IBS). He was at the time in his late 20s, a champion surfer all around the world, super super fit & healthy, t-total & a non smoker. He sadly passed away as that 2 years of not ever getting diagnosed meant it was too late for him when a different doctor & hospital did take him seriously & found out what the problem really was. Also a really close friend of mine passed away 2 years ago now & he was an obsessive cyclist who took part in road racing whenever he could, was really fit & healthy & also ran & was a non smoker & drank very infrequently & not to excess. He got oesophageal cancer & once again, his doctor said he just had reflux & gave him omeprazole etc without ever sending him off for proper tests.He all of a sudden after a year or so started getting really bad pains & was finding it hard to get food down then they took him more seriously & then it was found out what he had too. Because he was young & fit the doctor thought he was absolutely fine. I could go on.... Almost everyone that I've known in my lifetime who has gotten cancer have not got it from bad habits etc. It's so unfair & a cruel & evil disease. I just hope one day a cure can be found 🤞🏼
