I was touched by your open honesty about sharing your grief. You knew how close we were to her and had recently lost Mr. Bucky. He was a plus for the channel. I appreciate you continuing the channel allowing us to be able to visit her as we would in the past. A comfort for me to hear her discuss her experiences growing up. Why not come work for the FAA? That’s what my husband did when retired from C5’s! He’s been with them 10 years and makes a VERY good living!🙂He teleworks except 2 days per pay period, he goes to the FSDO- you could go to Charleston for that! Airlines is feast or famine, but we will always need the FAA

My husband works for the big Atlanta airline(well an airline they own). He was based in NYC for a couple years and we rarely saw him. We live in GA and he was gone for weeks and sometimes nearly a month at a time. He could never get on a plane home because they were always full or there wasn't enough time between trips for it to work. If you get a choice between flying cargo or having to commute with a commercial carrier I would 100 percent choose cargo. Growing up my dad was in the navy so the "dad being gone all the time" is my normal but I want my kids and I to have him home. Just my opinion for what it's worth. I am sure the right fit will happen for you.

Family first. I may be old and old fashioned but nothing is better than family and spending as much time as you can with them. No one is promised another day and in these day of so much going on and the uncertainty of what’s going to happen next, being with your family is more important than any job or money you can make. We are living in the end days for sure. Family is what’s important. Everything else is just not important.

Sure makes you appreciate what you have and how important family is. I can see the excitement in your face and I’m so glad your going home. My first flight was a jump seat on a cargo plane to Puerto Rico. My step Dad was part owner of an air freight company and I worked at Indy international for 13 yrs and have been around airplanes my whole life. I think the cargo plane option sounds like the better option. Praying for wisdom and direction for your next endeavors.

Wonderful to see that someone who has achieved so much , Really had times of lost direction in life . Plans go crooked and your map of life must be redrawn . Millions of people are facing new challenges and writing new goals for the future . With maybe not quite the same work achievement but questioning what now ... I will pray for you Steven. God will let you know what to do. With all the airline cancellations of flights these days, I would be concerned about your 2 weeks off plan could get tricky. A farm with animals, requires 24/7 chores and maintenance. Leaving all that, when you're in the air, for the ravishing Mrs. Ritter could be overwhelming. That Boeing gig sounds promising. I have heard also that some pilots who took the jab are experiencing serious heart issues. Again, I will be praying for you and your wife. I hope you both can enjoy the next chapter of your lives together. God bless.

You have extensive knowledge of many careers, which is good to make the best choice for you and your family. Being with family is now, they do leave. 2 daughters of ours are working way too many hours and one is job hunting, thank goodness. I’ve told many, money isn’t everything, get a job you enjoy doing and the money will come. Never put money ahead of everything. I enjoy your devotionals immensely!
