Great empties! I enjoy melting challenges from an observation perspective. Meaning I enjoy the videos that result. However, for me personally I don’t really struggle to get through my wax so I have stayed away from melting challenges in general. This month I’m doing Patricia Gaetz monthly challenge and it has been so fun because it has me scouring through my scents for unique notes. I had to rely on the community to help me find a musk note in my collection. Sweet & Sassy won 🎉😂 I like that it’s not limited by vendor. But it is challenging me to look at my scents in a new way. I wanted to do the second and spruce challenge but I did not want to melt those scents on the days selected. It’s such a busy time. I want to spread my one collection melting out during less busy times when I know I’ll enjoy it. Great video. 🎉

I understand if I’m going to melt a scent I love or excited about I want to be around to enjoy it. I’ve done the monthly challenge in the past and it can be fun but right now I want to melt what I melt. If it happens to work out for a 7 day challenge it seems more doable for me

I like the melting challenge as long as I have the vendor to melt. I like the one Patricia G does. You can pick you own scents. Not a specific vendor.

Enjoyed your empties Martha! I’m a mood melter for sure, not necessarily seasonal, so I don’t like melting challenges. I have been doing Scentsy for 18 months and vendor wax for 9 months so my stash is not that big. I’m still trying to figure out what I like and don’t like and what works in my home. I came to the same conclusion you did about blueberry muffin scent, there’s something off putting to me too! LOL!!!! I’ve been struggling with Scentsy since early fall 2023 I’ve really slowed down buying, cannot keep up with every scent of month, with several seasonal collections , bricks. I can’t do it anymore. If I want to try something I’ll put it in my quarterly club to try. Thanks again!!!

Hi Sharon! We have a lot of similarities. I like to think of myself as a weather melter. If it’s hot I want fruity and tropical. On colder nights I can do wintry and cozy. With Scentsy I will throw scents in a club and get it in the future. Plus I don’t want to pay shipping with every new scents. Yes, there is just something off about blueberry muffin. I don’t know what it is because I love blueberry muffin in real life

I like the melting challenges - it gets me to think outside of the box. I have been participating in Patrica Gaetz’s monthly melting challenges for almost a year at this point. I have so much fun picking out wax each month to fit the prompts, but I also still pull other things throughout the month. Plus I like that you can use any vendor for hers - I couldn’t participate in the Second and Spruce one (yet) since my first order is still being poured. Definitely will be fun to participate in other vendor specific challenges in the future though!

I have to be in the mood for them for sure. I did the melting challenge when Angie Blevins was doing them and I know she passed it over to Patricia. It can be helpful. When I would do them, it got my creative juices flowing to try to fit in what I wanted to melt with the prompt. At the moment a month long challenge feels like too much work, but who knows I may do it again in the future.

Hey Martha, great empties. I’m a mood melter so I can warm tree or roasted pinecones all year and enjoy it. 🤣 I’m so glad you loved Muse from Swanky; they have some really pretty lavender blends. So glad your trip got cancelled; that would have been exhausting!

I can’t get enough of roasted pinecones and Palo Santo. When we get to Christmas tree scents I need to hold off. 😂 I appreciate you so much for sending me Swanky to try. I love Lavender and Swanky is on my radar now. Thanks for watching my friend.

Hi Martha . My favorite warm of the week was Teddy Bees Witches be crazy for beach treats and Marshmallow cake by the ocean. I’m a scentsy consultant also mostly for my own buying but honestly I haven’t purchased any of the new spring / summer scents. I’ve really been enjoying my vendor list as much more.

Witches be crazy is a great blend. I didn't get the beach nights one but I love it on it's own and mixed with other notes. I think I have it with pistachio. I closed a party and grabbed a few of the new Scentsy scents but not all. I'm a consultant for the perks and like you I'm more excited about melting my vendor wax at the moment.

I have only done Patricia’s Challenge so far. Not sure I’d be down to do any others if I’m being honest. I’m just too busy to attempt to be that organized 😆 I’m a seasonal, mood, grab and go kind of melter. Love Graduation and am holding onto my last clearance bars for dear life! 🫶🏼

I loved it too. Great bar. I'm hoping it will eventually come back during BBMB. I don't love doing month long challenges. I don't like feeling restricted. This last one was only 7 days and it was with wax I wanted to use anyway so it was a win win this time around. Hope you are doing well Heidi. Thanks for watching.

Hi!! Recently found your channel and fell in love with your wide selections from vendors/brands to scents!!! I️ personally don’t like melting challenges because I️ tend to let my wax melt till I️ can’t smell it anymore lol… and some scents last DAYSSS!! as for that I️ tend to not participate in challenges but it’s fun to see everyone’s interpretations of these challenges. have a good week 😁

Hi Nate! So glad you found my channel. I quickly fell down the wax rabbit hole. I have accumulated a lot of wax in the past 18 months and now I’m trying my best to simmer down and enjoy what I have. Challenges need to come around at the right time because I like to melt what I melt and not be told what to melt if that makes sense. But sometimes it works out. I wish I had Scentsy Crumb Top, especially to mix with Coco Lime. I just mixed Coco Lime with Vanilla Bean Buttercream and it was so good! I have a brick of Sugar Cookie and may try mixing that next! Happy warming!

I totally get it about the challenges. Most of the time I feel boxed in and it makes me rebel. This last one came at the right time as I was almost done melting everything I had set aside in my May basket and I wanted to use melt some of my Second & Spruce.

Hey, Martha! My favorite melt of the week has been L3 Mac Apple Cotton Candy Frosting Salty Sea Air. It is a total dupe for Scentsy Orchard By the Sea but better! 😊 I do Patricia’s melting challenge and like the variety. I’m not sure if I could do one vendor for a week or more.

Hi Laura. L3 has done a great job of making Scentsy dupes. I was so happy she did Jack's Obsession last year. Although I don't buy often from L3 I will miss her and hope she returns some day. I struggle with month long challenges. I think I don't like to be told what I should warm but a week long one on something I was planning on warming any way is ok. Not all the time. I think like everything, I need to be in the right mood. 😊 Thanks for sharing your thoughts and about the L3 blend. I hadn't heard about that one. It sounds fantastic.

My favorite melting last week was mixing Jammin Jubilee with BBW Firecracker Pop in same warmers. Nothing is too sweet for this girl! I don't burn candles, but I do cut them up and melt them. There are some scents that I really love in BBW candles and this way I still get to enjoy them! If I may ask, what is your job? I'm curious now because of taking a Switzerland trip for one day! Wow!

Hi Mary. See, Jammin Jubilee is too sweet for me 😂. I have cut up my candles in the past and I don't know why I do it more often. Thanks for the reminder. About the trip, even though it's a workshop it didn't make sense to travel for one day. That became apparent after I got my ticket. So I canceled it and will wake up at 4 am instead to attend virtually. It's not a good look to fly for a day and my brain won't be at its best. Normally we limit these types of trips but the agenda wasn't fully baked until late in the game. I'm and executive director of operations at a pharma company.

I ended up doing a zoom. I woke up at 3 am for the meeting. Way better than that crazy trip. When I got the ticket I didn’t realize it was only going to be have a day. I figured a day and a half at least. I have a crazy busy weekend but after this week things should settle down

I'm wondering with the scentsy bars, if price isn't a factor? Like, if they increased prices then there would be sort of an uproar, but at the same time everything else has gone up in price so maybe they're struggling a bit with development prices or scent oil prices or something.. idk but I do remember it being a bit more fun in years past.

Agreed. I'm surprised they only raised the prices of the licensed bars but I think they knew there would be an uproar. I feel like they can use some of us as a panel group for ideas. As an example the July SOTM is Provence Lavender. How is that so different from French Lavender that is currently in the calendar? How about a sweet lavender marshmallow instead? That's not hard to come up with. I also heard they are coming out with a fresh baked bread with GARLIC and rosemary. Why would I want to melt garlic!! They had me with the rosemary but without the garlic, thank you. Watch it be amazing 🤣🤣🤣

I think I'll be in the minority here. I don't enjoy the melting challenge, neither participating nor the videos. I still watch all of you fabulous KZbinrs, but I prefer the what I've been warming videos without the prompts.

Thanks for sharing. I value your opinion. Honestly I'm not real big on challenges unless they are short and don't make me feel boxed in. Maybe next time I can add the prompt on the screen so it doesn't take as much time reading it before each melt.
