If you are on the job hunt, or about to be, we have the questions to ask that will give you lots of information about the job and the workplace, and really help you to understand whether it is the right fit for you.
This week, we have some secret strategies to set you up for success in your Nurse Practitioner job search. We’ll cover:
✅ Outside the box ways of finding a job
✅ Spotting warning signs in the interview
✅ Orientation - and why you want to ask about it
✅ Why you should ask about protocols
✅ What is team-based care, and what does it mean to you as a Nurse Practitioner?
Job searches can be exciting and stressful at the same time. Investing the time in advance to gather background information on a prospective employer, asking high-yield interview questions, and then reflecting on what you have learned will put you in the best possible position to pick the job that is right for you.

I am so glad it was helpful! I work hard to try to slow down my speech, but, you can always click on the gear symbol on the lower right side of the video and slow it down to a speed that makes it easier for you! Thanks!!

I just got my psych NP licensure, but I don't want to work until the end of this year (November or December 2023; it's July now). I'm getting all this paperwork done which is daunting. NPI#, DEA# ($888, and most places want you to have it already, but one can ask them to reimburse), and mandatory malpractice insurance in Florida (mandatory). I have to get Clozapine certified to prescribe this med outpatient (I think that is free but is a lot of reading). It takes a few weeks for CEBroker to get your license number once Dept of Health BON approves your license. So I have to keep up with both my RN and ARNP CEUs--do you have to keep up with your RN license as well? All of this is very confusing in itself.

Check with the state BON but most states roll your maintenance of RN license in with NP license renewal.

@@RealWorldNP Thank you. I just did. I have to upload them separately under each license to CEBroker. I probably have to do it all over again because I just got licensed as a psych NP and the CEUs I did and completed was before I got licensed as a ARNP. Not sure if they will take it but I can try; they will reject it if they don't.
