I would disagree Loveland is way better than Ft Collins people drive recklessly in Ft Collins also the education is way better in Loveland . The whole point is Loveland people are very nice people, very respectful people way better than people think .

Moved to Loveland when there were only 5000 people living there. Left in 1980 and have not been back since 1990. It looks very different especially the new growth near the foot hills and going around Boyd lake. To give you a better picture of what it looked like, Lincoln school as at the corner of Eisenhower and Lincoln Avenues. Garfield school was at 6th and Garfield and we lived at 29th and Garfield in the 50's. One of the people that may still be remembered today is Miss Edmonds that was a music teacher, she was there when I went to school and she was there when my sons went to school. Many times I wish I had not left but if I had not I would never have been in England, Germany, Korea or Saudi Arabia. You have and interesting program.

Hello Lyle thank you for your comment. Sounds like you had a fantastic time traveling. Loveland is definitely changing from what we remember as kids. For that matter I guess same could be said for most of the Denver metro.

Great content! (although I have to admit it feels quite like deja vu!). Here's a few more items I learned from an erudite realtor: (1) Lake Loveland water levels drop *significantly* in the Fall to irrigate nearby farmland. [Does the local government have plans to eventually assume ownership from Greeley?] (2) There are limited public transit options across the city and down to Denver (what might also be interesting is to show highlights from a 'Bustang' commute to Denver) (3) Loveland residents often exercise their "choice in" optionality for where to send their children for school, including several charter schools. Alana has a lot of expertise in this trend...a future video featuring an in depth look would be great! (4) The Foundry reportedly has a growing list of shops & restaurants. It could be interesting to showcase some of what the Foundry has to offer with video and commentary!

CO has gotten very liberal (due to a lot of Californians moving there and voting blue). I’m moving to Loveland at the end of the year (from California), and I’m bringing my red vote. My husband and I are very conservative. We have our church in Loveland.

Hello thank you for the comment. Yes Colorado has become much more blue over the last 15 years. Our northern expert lives in Loveland and absolutely loves it there. Sounds like similar reasons why she chose that city.

@yourCoreFamily Do you think Fort Morgan is a good area? Is it new an up-and-coming or is it too far to the east?
@ColoradoLife4u10 ай бұрын
Fort Morgan is still very much small town and from our experience to far for those looking to take advantage of the mountains. Greeley & Eaton have been making moves in up and coming and much closer to the mountains. Also we’ve got our eye on Bennett, many developers talk about that area.

I've lived in Loveland since 1992. There is no 'hood' here. If Fort Collins wants to accuse anywhere of having a 'hood', they should do more to clean up the nonsense that exists around the campus of CSU and north of downtown.🙄

Cado what is your top reason for Loveland and your wife’s top reason for FOCO?

Fort collins is way too liberal now. Too many people from California

Hello Babarosa thank you for your comment. Fort Collins has definitely changed with the influx of people moving there. California is the number one contributor of outsiders moving into Colorado.

I lived in loveland for many years. Currently in Berthoud my Berthoud neighborhood was built in the early 80's. The growth in the last 10 years has ruined this area. It has taken away all the areas we use to be able to utilize foor outdoor activities. They are now all private. The traffic is horrible the speed limit in downtown is 25mph. People drive through there at 40 tailgating being rood. It has completely lost its small town vibe. Very narcissistic vibe now. North Colorado has been overrun and talken over by California gone forever. The majority of people here are rood and unfriendly its not even funny. Our old values of small town living are considered barbaric. So you people ruined California and are well on your way to ruining Colorado.....SAD
