I always shorten it and just call them natas, but I have to say we get pretty delicious ones here in the Northeast, US. We have a large enough Portuguese population around that you can find them in small deli's around the area. They are one of my favorite desserts.

So I keep a backup ring for this and things like camping, playing in the yard, outside activities involving water and other such things. Such expensive and fragile things need to be protected.
