As a madridista, I feel like most of us don't really get to see this side of Bale, he's such a nice guy and a really good football player, but I still most fans don't have that connection with him like they do with other players cause we don't get to know more about his persona, it's obviously his personality, but I feel like we need more of him! As a madrid fan myself I feel really sorry for Gareth who has been booed this season by the fans in the stadium. He was never booed before despite him getting injured time and again but in those times that didn't affect the team performances as much as it is doing this season as some players ,mostly isco, would step up in his absence. Medias were also not against him before this season. Now that the big man(cr7) has gone everybody were expecting Gareth to fill his boots now that he was in the spotlight but that has not been the case so far. Club's poor run coinciding with the poor form of Gareth also didn't help the case.There are a few other factors too including him not speaking Spanish which some people in spain unfortunately consider as an insult towards their country and their language. It's only natural for fans to get frustrated after seeing the best club in Europe play so poor but that does not mean it's always right to aim their frustrations at the players by booing them. As a madrid fan who has never been to the bernabeu but has been following them everyday I really feel sad when I hear some sections of the bernabeu whistling our own players. I wish they stopped doing that. Atleast not that frequent and have a little patience. I really hope Gareth leaves madrid in good terms with everybody, fans, board and teammates. One thing is certain, he and his CL final overhead kick goal will be remembered forever by Madrid fans. He will always be a Real Madrid legend.

He can be so frustrating to watch on the pitch sometimes, especially this season for us (not that many players were any better lol), but the man is hugely misunderstood. Spanish press is basically the Sun on steroids every single day of the week, it's awful. He's a big game player no doubt and I want him to rediscover his best with us and prove doubters wrong again. With Zizou back, he has a real chance to challenge for a regular starting point as the team's focal point. Oh and his agent's big mouth doesn't do him many favors either xD
