rock fire type is a good type combo. beyond water type, (fire rock types should always have moves super effective against water types) they have almost no weaknesses, with both covering each other's weaknesses very well. many good type combos have double weaknesses, they just need a way to deal with them.

water ice is a good type combo. look at the 2 water ice types we have, cloyster and lapras. lapras has plenty of resistances to compliment it's bulk from it's water ice typing, including ice moves to threaten the grass types water is weak against. on the opposite side of the spectrum, we have cloyster, which on top of it's shell smash move, has ice spikes, a multi-hitting low power move that, because it hits more than once, ignores focus sash, and it's low base power is somewhat counteracted by it being stab due to cloyster's water ice typing.
