Here's what I see happening here. Mundi: _makes an offhand comment about how he can't wait to spend time with his wives and kids after the war_ Anakin: "Wait, you're married?!" Mundi: "Why, of course." Anakin: "But I thought the Jedi order forbade that." Mundi: "Normally, yes. But they do make exceptions under certain circumstances. Cereans like myself, for example, suffer from very low birth rates, so Cerean Jedi are allowed to marry and have children." Anakin: "But how do you deal with the matter of having attachments, or the fear of loss?" Mundi: "Well, I can't speak for all Cerean Jedi, but I simply accept that whatever happens is the will of the force. Why do you ask?" Anakin: "...never mind." Mundi: _shrugs_ Long story short, I could see an interaction like this making Anakin a bit more willing to possibly open up about his relationship with Padme, but at the same time Ki-Adi-Mundi's bluntness, tone-deafness and general obliviousness wouldn't really help in the moment. But it would likely get some gears in Anakin's head turning and possibly have him ask some of the other Jedi whether they had any relationships in the past and how they dealt with them. Which could potentially lead to him finding out about Obi-Wan's past relations with Satine.

There is a difference between accepting the inevitability of loss, as the Jedi are trained to do, and having no feelings, as people often misinterpret the Code as demanding.

I feel like Qui Gon would speak to Anakin as he was dying similar to how Obi Wan did in Return of the Jedi and teach him how to retain his consciousness after death. Some years later both Anakin and Qui Gon would appear before Obi Wan (and Luke and Leia) as force ghosts.

I’ve noticed that you almost always have either Bail, Padme, or Mon become chancellor after Palpy’s death, but I think a cool What If would be if someone from Palpatine’s entourage became the chancellor (e.g. Sly Moore) or another corrupt politician, and how the Jedi and Delegation of 2000 react to this. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories. Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself. What if anakin was a jedi watchmen or wayfinder. What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia. What if anakin fell in love with luminara or your own version of aayla secura romance. What if oppo rancis trained anakin. There have been many different kinds of alternative ways of how Anakin storyline was like at Revenge of the Sith. This one is one of the most interesting. Loved it! Day 73 of my list. What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme (Pentre Patrol did his version), Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?
