This is already much better than the original canonical Kanto series. Your attention to details of all episodes that changed because of Primeape being there is perfect.

My artist friend Val did Primeape then I edited the shot of Charizard vs magmar to try and make match closer to Val's style

Primeape is the Infernape of Generation One in this brand new what-if series. I wonder if Ash will still eventually meet and catch Chimchar once arriving in Sinnoh?

That was an overall more satisfying experience than most of the first season. Charizard truly needed a rival as this story shows to effectively get the character growth it needed. Though I have to say Jesse is a bit psychotic here. Attempting to kill Charizard feels like crossing a line and pretty big contrast to how team Rocket felt about Chimchar in cannon. Yeah those three are bad guys, but I don’t think any of them are killers. But that’s a minor nitpick in the grand scheme of it. I do wonder if Gary is going to do some sort of thinking about Ash making it a lot farther than him. Top 8 vs top 32 are a decent size gap. I’m not saying it’s going to make his attitude do a 180 right away but I think he might start to think Ash’s training style has a bit more merit then he assumed

Obviously, Ash won't have Annihilape right away. It takes time, and hopefully its evolution timing is best in the future. Maybe in Journeys or Horizons.

This is pretty awesome! I hope primeape,manages to actually evolve in this timeline plus if he continues to be in the series my hope he gets a chance to interact with ash future fighting types especially chimchar

Really great, I hope charizard and primape stay on ash’s future teams, kinda acting like mentors. It would be way better than canon where ash would effectively restart every region 😅. At least by having these two powerhouses he can prove his strength earlier in to Rivals like Paul and Trip and even the champions he meets like Lance and Cynthia

I missed the older Pokémon anime music. The writers should have brought this back and modernized them in the current Horizons season.

At least Ash performed better in the Indigo Plateau League than in the original. Maybe he'll be more humbled and better trainer. Being closer to a Pokémon Master.

🥹😭YES YES YES YES 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 MY BOY IS BACK THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!. Explanation Mankey is my favorite Pokémon. one of my favorite episodes from season One is one ash caught his evolved form, and my least favorite episode in the entire series is when he let him go to train. If he had kept him oh my the things he could have done. Please give me this as many parts as you can I’m saying that Before going into it.
