This was really good. Jimmy being solo for the first half of his journey is great to later on get a newfound strenght. The Whirl Cup and Rocket Takeover arcs are amazing, and I do enjoy the 3 movies and Sylvian's presence as well. Amazing work, can't see what you'll for Hoenn. May moving is a nice tie-in to the games and manga Norman, kudos.

You did a very good job with this story. My one real nitpick was that Mariana only had 4 Pokémon by the silver conference. I kind of saw coming she wasn’t making it to the top 16 with her only having 4 Pokémon with her. She needed a full team of 6 so the speculation of if she make it higher or not. But other then that this video was impressive

The regions/gens I think make sense to replace ash are: Hoenn (since the Kanto and johto portions are considered all part of the "original series", and as many have stated, johto is more of an extension of kanto than it's own thing), Unova (since gen 5 is supposed to be a soft reboot and that sinnoh is the last region to be based of an area of japan), Alola (since ash being in trainers school the whole time was such a dumbed down choice and that I consider gen 6 to be the classic era of pokemon ends for both the games and the show), and galar (or at least have ash share the spotlight with a new trainer from galar, similar to how the show phineas and ferb has a phineas and Ferb plot (duh) and a perry and dr. Doof plot in most episodes, except in this case, it would be seperate episodes happening at the same time and the only episodes ash would have would be back to back to episodes about the new kid)

Not too sure. Ampharos, Jumpluff, Ursaring, Granbull, and Girafarig are all options I could see her with. Girafarig is one of my Johto faves so probably that one for sure. And I'm leaning most toward Jumpluff from the rest of that list.

I would have Ash returned in the Johto league battle Gary still and beat jimmy because at the end of the orange islands season he was going to Johto and show Jimmy's & Ash's development

The idea of this story/series is that Ash was no longer the protagonist after the orange islands. So having him show up in the main show in any capacity would have made no sense.

The main problem with the "Ash Generation" of the Pokémon anime is that they tried to have their cake & eat it too, simultaneously viewing/using it as nothing more than a cynical low-/no-effort commercial with which to promote the games while also wanting it to have an ongoing story with at least the illusion of substance by refusing to give Ash's story a proper conclusion & replace him.

@sakuraa1770 Here's hoping that the execs keep their grubby mitts off & the writers don't fall down the same inescapable rabbithole of mistakes that they did with Ash... or crowbar him into Horizons, for that matter, because stupid people are whining that the poorly-handled "nostalgic" protagonist has finally been retired after his haphazardly put-together story had already been *thoroughly* driven into the ground.

@@1992holycrap I don't think there's any need to worry about it. Horizons is already formatted better than most of the previous series in less than 20 episodes so far and they seem committed to this unique setting. I doubt Ash will be appearing in the show.

@@sakuraa1770 I could buy that if this wasn't a month or 2 later during the Silver Conference. Surely there were some cops they could've spared by then. As much as I would've liked to see Silvian get some prison time, Community Service would've somewhat sufficed as well. (He can keep Feraligatr, that's not the issue, but some kinda punishment would've been justified here, is all I'm saying. I just hate it when creeps who do awful things go unpunished is all....)
