I don't really think there is much of an argument to be had. Quilava just hasn't had many showings as torkoal. So overall, I agree with the team lineup. Good job snow Kitsune! Keep it up! 👍

*For more context on why a certain Pokemon wasn't included in this team, read below (after watching the video!)* . . . Quilava is awesome, and it hurt not to include him. But sadly he just didn't have much to offer, that wasn't already offered by another member of the team. It was never the strongest battler ever as Cyndaquil, and even after returning and evolving and having a brand new moveset in the Sinnoh League, it still didn't win any battles. It doesn't have any special abilities, and its moves can be learned by every other team member. Quilava is great but just didn't really fit into the team as I imagined it. Torkoal is tanky and defensive, and if it has the Drought ability, that can power up the entire team! And as much as Torkoal has had many losses, its battle against Registeel was far above Quilava's battles, in my opinion. I hope you can all understand, and I'm sorry to any Quilava fans!

Ash has had some pretty badass fire types. Nice to also see best bird Talonflame make the team. I would have liked to see, for this series, Ash train up his Cyndaquil and make it a legit mon to add to this team. The Cyndaquil line is my favorite line of all the starters and Typhlosion looks like a badass with that fire mane (should have never changed it imo). This series rocks. Can't wait to see what's next.

I'm definitely glad to see Incineroar make the cut and I was thinking you would pick Charizard Y at first, but it makes sense to go for X instead for this team. Nice to see Shamus get some mentions in the video, though we all know he'll always be the ultimate Fire Warrior. rofl. As for next team, I'd like to see Grass cause we know the GOAT Sceptile will make the team. lol.

It actually makes sense that Torkoal would have the drought ability. It couldn't have 'white smoke', because we saw its power getting weakend by Overheat many times. The only other option is its hidden ability, but that chance is quite low

Gale wings Acrobatics Talonflame can do some major damage and if it has roost it can build its HP back and keep on swinging with acrobatics, Torkoal with drought and curse or amnesia and then drop a solarbeam on it and she will quickly become the best support Ash has. Pignite is pignite nothing else can be said there, charizard's move set is a little tricky because we want it to cover the teams obvious weaknesses but at the same time we can't just give it all moves that are physical and swords dance or dragon dance as set up

The moment you chose Charizard X over Y and then placed him in the fifth spot, I knew exactly you were gonna have Torkoal for the Drought and I LOVE IT! HAHAHAHA HE IS THE HEART OF THIS TEAM! Well not gonna lie the lineup was really great, Quilava's full strength was not shown in the anime but still it fully evolved Typhlosion would be much stronger than Torkoal, cyndaquil was great but as a typhlosion it could have easily been the third/fourth strongest Fire type pokemon depending on how strong is incineroar. The line was great loved it :) :) :)

I think whether to evolve pignite or to not evolve it is depending on whether he is like the last gym leader or maybe a champion Cuz if its the last gym leader he must be very tough. And when pignite evolves it become more bulky and tankier. If he was just like maybe one of the first gym leaders, having a pignite in his team is suitable as the challengers and not that strong yet. So it depends Btw nice video

this was a well-made team but I think if quilava replaced pignite that would be amazing because we didn't get to see quilava in battle much so it would have been fun if he was there but still a great choice and I really liked that everyone was not a starter. but as you said it's a plain fire type but it just would've been cool to see him in battle after so long.

I mean, this one was quite obvious because Ash's fire pokemon are one of his strongest pokemon and he has only 7 anyway. Personally I'd evolve Pignite because I just prefer fully evolved pokemon, and as for Torkoal, his ability and defence are great but I'd like him to be more confident etc. With his current personality.... Honestly, I like this team, but I think it could be quite better. The things thatI would change is that first of all, I would evolve Pignite into Emboar (part of it is because it's my favorite pokemon of all time), because like you said in the video, Infernape is just Pignite but faster and stronger. And to be honest, with Infernape and Talonflame, the team is already fast enough to have a very hard hitter like Emboar in it, especially with Flame charge that could boost its speed (and even if in the anime Pignite is indeed fast, he’s still pretty chonky so....I don’t think that it would lose its speed like Turtwig to Torterra for example). The other things that I would change is Charizard: I would put Mega Charizard Y instead of X. And the reasons are really simple: it’s a second pokemon with Drought and that can actually counter Water, Ground and Rock types with Solar Beam and that MASSIVE special attack, and because there’s already almost only physical attacker on the team (Emboar, Incineroar, Talonflame and Infernape is kinda mixed but more physical). And also because it’s cooler and because SO many characters already have the Mega Charizard X, so it would be nicer to see the Y for a change. But still a good team/video though.

Having two Pokémon with Drought wouldn’t be a bad thing either, I just felt like reducing our weakness to Water with Mega Charizard X could be super helpful. Mega Zard Y over X for Ash. As a counterpart to Alain’s. I’ve always thought he should have gotten Mega Zard Y instead of Ash Greninja. I’m also a Mono Fire type Trainer myself.
