I like the idea of Cooler betting the BGS, but also retaining his transformations. And instead of going full MetalCooler, he becomes like a hybrid Android Cyborg, where he gets the regenerative and zenkai abilities of the BGS, but retains the biological abilities to transform and grow of his "normal" version.

Personally, if I were in Cooler's shoes, I'd be suspicious about seeking out the Big Gete Star in order to become a more powerful synthetic being. After all, the Big Gete Star had existed independently of Cooler, and only bonded with Cooler for what I'd presume to be its own ulterior motives. For all we know, by fusing with the Big Gete Star, Cooler could end up relinquishing his own independence without even knowing it until it was too late for him to do anything about it... at least, not without help.

I agree, if anything the Cybernetics are only holding Cooler back, the only way to truly improve himself would be to restore what was replaced by cybernetics with organic material again. While a single Metal Cooler had shown that they were powerful enough to fight a pair of Super Saiyans, I feel that there's only so much power that they can reasonably withstand. I'm not saying the Big Gete Star wouldn't be a useful tool for Cooler to utilize however, as an army of robotic copies of himself would certainly be a boon for maintaining his empire, I just think him going full cybernetic on himself wouldn't be the best for him if he's seeking to increase his own overall power.......Though if anything, the Big Gete Star would certainly be something to consider for the Goku Black arc for the Cooler of Future Trunks' timeline at least!

I think it's more in line for him to develop himself. You're right, bonding to the gete star comes with too many risks and too much control out of his hand. In the movie he was badly hurt and desperate. This is a huge difference of situation. Plus, his own cybernetics have already failed him by over heating

​​​@@GreenSigmaTHhey, here's an idea, cooler gets the nanite tech of the big gete star without bonding to it. It's just to good a tech to pass up, what with it improving itself after attacks. But how would he incorporate it you might ask? Turn to XenoVerse 2, it had an outfit for his species that was a mix of cybernetic and natural armor. He could probably meld his natural armor with the nanites of the big gete star to protect him better, and fix and improve said armor after devastating attacks. Not to mention with said tech he could probably use it as an extension of said armor to cover more of his body. He could even possibly use it to collect data after battles to see where he went wrong and where to improve with his training next time.

I loved that oh-so-Saiyan exchange between Gohan and Cooler. From Cooler saying, "I may have to come after your planet." Gohan, "Well, I may have to come after your empire." Cooler, "I expect nothing less." The exchange is so oddly kind, yet it keeps those qualities that both Saiyans and (Freeza Race) share in their natural warfaring behavior. They thrive in that conflict, and Cooler being a positive influence for Gohan like this is honestly extremely fitting. Gohan is the older brother, after all, even if he doesn't realize it yet. Cooler pushes Gohan to pursue his fighter's spirit, and he shows him the way forward. It's as if the elder (Freeza Race) brother is guiding him out of a sort of way of seeing himself in Gohan. The boy knows Cooler is dangerous, and is more than willing to take him down if he must. But until then...Cooler had been a good man. He had shown growth from the man who, using Goku as the seed, planted a Dumbass Tree along the Mount Paozu river. Cooler and Gohan are the duo we may need to see some day. I can't wait to see if/when they team up.

I can’t dictate what happens in these stories, but if I could make a cool suggestion for a good character moment, how about when Cooler returns, an ultimate sign of turning good is that he *resists* Babidi’s mind control. Yeah we had Vegeta able to resist it, but he chose to let Babidi in. Having Cooler kick Babidi out and not turn Majin would be really cool! As for what Cooler should do… I say find a way to restore his original body. I mean, yeah, by introducing Metal Cooler and the Big Gete Star that does “differentiate him from Frieza”, but if we go by the true Dragonball lore, that means he gives up his fifth form, which is just too cool to pass up. I’d much rather see Golden Fifth Form Cooler. Plus, how funny would it be to see Cooler get yet *ANOTHER* transformation before Frieza does. That would just be hilarious. And if he is brought back for whatever version, we can have a reverse scene of your classic TFS quote. “Cooler did it”. And if you read this, one quick question. So, King Cold had told Frieza about Majin Buu before, yeah? Does that mean Cooler knows about Majin Buu? Does he know of Berrus the Destroyer as well? That could be useful. He could warn Earth about those threats, right?

The cybernetics felt like a bandaid, it kept him going. However he has seen that cybernetics can only go so far. Temporary jump in power, but a definitive cap, to truly become stronger and maintain that power, he needs to be himself.

Very cool way of ending this part. "Uncle" Cooler doing the most to ideally keep Gohan from slacking over these next few years! But I remain torn about the prospects for the next part. On one hand, Metal Cooler was always something that kept Cooler unique from his sibling, and was something I would've loved to see elaborated on further in canon or Heroes. But on the other? Cooler and Saucer deserve to have a kid of their own to raise (and to act as the haughty rival to Goten and Trunks), and I fear that may not be an option or need, if Cooler goes all technorganic!

This is exactly the sort of direction I had hoped to see from Gohan. I have no problem with his scholarly career, or being a family man, but his drive and passion to fight evil and protect the innocent, drove him forward. Having an evil space empire looming over them, keeps both Gohan and Cooler in check, plus Vegeta is sticking around as the wildcard, which is the role he is best at. Personally, I would've used Dabura and the Demon Realm for a such a role, but Cooler fits the bill to.

The idea of Cooler continuing with cybernetics is obviously a good choice, plus making the choice to accept the hand you were dealt is always respectable. But honestly, I would go with Cooler restoring his organic body for this one. We already have a cybernetic Freeza in Revelation F, plus I think it’d be more interesting to do something new rather than retread familiar ground. Or maybe Cooler can restore his body, and the Gete Star can still come into play somehow?

I like how Cooler is encouraging Gohan to continue his training after Goku's passing here. 🙂 Although I do wonder how besides the normal training during the 7 Years my idea would be both Gohan and Piccolo do Spirit Control Training on Yardrat. 🤔 Looks like Cooler did grow from been on Earth: Treating his force better, choosing quality over quantity when recruiting members for the force & have it be volunteering instead of mandatory, and finding the time chamber like planet & make use of it. 👍 Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

This is probably one of my favorite 'What ifs' so far, one I'm surprised about was wishing back the rest of the Armored Squadron isn't brought up. After Cell targeted Cooler's prosthetics as a weak point during the fight and stopping Cooler from achieving a new form as a consequence, I can't see a reason why Cooler would pursue something that logically he should only see as a weakness. He knows that his biology can grant a new form, so what reason does he have to think of prosthetics and cybernetics as the way forward when they're directly responsible for his loss?

I think Cooler would try to restore his own body. It has been shown that frieza was able to do so when he was put into the super-advanced healing/regeneration tank that restored him. It's possible that for Cooler, during the time skip from Cell to Buu, that the empire discovers/develops this technology to make this process happen.

I think it’d be cool to have him strategically pursue the Big Getty Star 🌟 because he can then make copies of himself via his cybernetics etc. To help seek out Hyperbolic Time Chambers a lot sooner for his empire to grow stronger and evolve as a whole.
