One of the devs here. If you want these hairstyles to actually get implemented in Project Gamblitz, let @ ashbinary_ know (that's his Twit acc). He knows how to fix the hardcoded stuff so it's not scrapped but he keeps bragging about it without sharing it, ruining it for everyone I've been working on improving the back of the rival style to look more like the rival Octolings but with the back cut; still gotta finish that. I've been working on a short version of the banger cut for Inklings as well : ) Man I wish we could implement it Thanks for the vid showcasing Gamblitz! ^_^

HERE'S THE COMMENT. I'm glad I found out about the project tbh. Me and my friends like to talk about how the modding community is doing a better job bringing more QOL stuff to the game. The characters in Splatoon 3 are rigged completely different and only switch models parts for specific things so there's so reason to worry about hair physics anymore. All those hairstyles would work just fine officially.

I refuse to ever glaze Nintendo cuz they coulda totally done this but we all have to keep in mind that EVERY splatoon game has been rushed. So things they scrapped probably were ideas and concepts that truly wanted but they are always being pressed for time by their higher ups❗️❗️ like again these hair styles are so cool and cute but they'd have to make them their models fit and interact properly with all the 100+ headgear they game has to offer. I honestly would wait till 2027 for the next splatoon, granted if the rumors are true that it's in development rnrn, of it completely lives up to the devs dreams and has all the assets, customization, modes, etc etc.

It honestly sucks to see Nintendo be so lazy with what they did with Splatoon 3, like from when it launched to now it still feels like they didn't want to make this game but they did anyway. Hell, Side Order feels rushed and they had an whole year to work on it. I just feel like Nintendo doesn't want to work on Splatoon games anymore so they just rush it. Like I love this series, it is my favorite kind of media, but it sucks to see Nintendo avoiding so much stuff they could've add, like new hair styles or 3rd kit weapons. I'm just saying that Nintendo needs to listen to their community and actually give some passion and take time with their video games. I'm still surprised that they're supposedly working on Splatoon 4 right after the new season. But it's nice to see fans of this series trying to fix Splatoon 3 while it's at it's death bed. You pretty much explained exactly how I feel. I'm not bashing the Devs or Nintendo. Splatoon isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's their biggest IP. I didn't care about shooters until Splatoon as a series started. I grew up playing the series Splatoon 3 specifically, just feel like an appetizer. Something to hold us down til the next game. I won't be surprised if this is really just a testing ground for the next game. I want them to lock in for the next game.

@@DaSonOfAPhantom Very true, I doubt that they'll let go of splatoon, but Splatoon 3 does feel pretty rushed and it kinda is. I wouldn't be surprised either if it's just a testing ground for platoon 4 if it does get made. I also hope the next one will be the best one yet. I still kinda think S3 is better then Splatoon 2 but it's mainly because they're trying to make it better, but only during the second half of the updates. It's a lot but too little to late. I do agree with you on your opinion about this though, I hope they add more hairstyles at some point because that'd be very cool. Or new pants like actual jeans with a option of having them ripped jeans.

We have the technology and fans have the knowledge to make edits / mods even more easier then it was two decades ago during our time. Plus massive companies knows we love less is more and we will accept it no questions ask. My favorite hair style is the rival hair style as I have my own rivial octoling also. She makes an appearance in my videos occasionally.

While I do wish we get more octoling hairstyles something that sounds more reasonable for Nintendo standards for me would be a hope to customize our existing hairstyles. For example with my in game hair (“the haircut” aka the agent 4 cut) could be tweaked so the side tentacles could be thinner or the top can be more poofy if that makes sense lol, knowing Nintendo maybe even that is too ambitious for now lol

Those are some beautiful hairstyles. I don’t get why Gamblitz can do more shit a gaming company can’t. This is literally the reason I barely play as Octolings at all: the fuckin hairstyles. Like, ok. Splat 3 comes out, new hairstyles. All but one are shit. Ok, year or 2 later and no new hairstyles for dem. Gj, Nintendo. A+ Now, these hairstyles in the video deserve to be in 3. If not, Splat 4. Not only dat, dem eyebrows shoulda been a thing. And please, Nintendo, add more clothing. It’s there: Captain 3 leggings and the Rival Octo’s shorts. Now, Gamblitz and Vee, and the other one (forgot what they was called) they made some beautiful shit. I really hope it gets complete. But patience is always dat key. These guys are the true Devs of Splat 3. And like you said, the Devs could lock tf in. And our TRUE and Final hope for the series left is Splatoon 4. And lastly, to answer your question, the hairstyles I truly adore is the 1st one, the 3rd, the 6th, and the 8th. (Alr, enough from me. Gj on the video)

A valid critique for a series you're passionate about. How you handle these videos reminds me of how Nam's Compendium handles Megaten content. You both want your series to be the best it can be and it's disheartening to see that devs do the bare minimum nowadays. ​@@DaSonOfAPhantom Yeah, like I totally agree with what everyone says here but I feel like asking for more than we have may be a bit too much to ask and I think the reason why Splatoon 3 feels a bit unfinished can be due to crunch time and burnouts which could lead to laziness imo I also personally think being a triple A game dev can be a lot more stressful than being an indie game dev, because I felt like people in the gaming community in general don't put the mental health of game devs into consideration... but again, I completely why people feel this way about Splatoon 3 and the Splatoon series as a whole, but I just want people to understand that game devs are human being like us too and there may be negative factors for those inconveniences in game development

Splatoon 3 would be awesome if unused and cut hairstyles was added!😎 As a matter of fact, I feel like that the unused and cut hairstyles should've been added to Splatoon 3 after Side Order. I also feel like that Splatoon 3's update cycle should've been weekly/monthly updates instead of 3-month update. Because I feel like that the 3-month update for Splatoon 3 was a mistake. God, I hope the developers of Nintendo decides to start learning from their mistakes and start adding unused and cut hairstyles for Splatoon 4 in the future. Ok , I lowkey have an idea, i think to increase number of hairstyles for both species, we should be able to have different front and back parts of the hair that can be customized, for example we could have tentacurls in thr front and thr little ponytail in the back for octolings. Or we could have the short agent 4 style hair with the splat1 inkling biy hair in the back.just a thought.lmk if you mess with it.

As somebody who has basically preferred octos since splat 1, (even though back then they were just NPCS,) it sucks that nintendo could care less about them. I know that each species got 4 new hairstyles, but i dont understand why they couldn't just give us the same amount for each species. We can't even use the rival octoling hair... Edit: these modded hairstyles are awesome. I swear that every time i see one cool fan concept, i shed a single tear because i know Nintendo wont do anything as cool

the fact that octolings only have half of the hairstyles the inklings got is pathetic. they had a whole 2 years worth of an opportunity to do an update much like splat 2 where new hairstyles were added for inkings, but nope. never happened for octolings (or any playable race at all in 3 for that matter), i absolutely would’ve used the short hair bob cut with the long bangs. and the eyebrow options for the playable fem octolings are garbage ngl. your only options are: tiny ass apostrophe, tiny ass apostrophe 2, pissed off 24/7 for some reason, and “i’m this close to crying you have no idea”

Let this sink in. Octolings was Playable in Splatoon 2. They was Locked with 4 hairstyles on their first time being playable and customizable. Little Buddy (The Salmonid) starts with 7 Hairstyles. They're Not Even Playable and They Started With More Options. Putting Salt Into The Wound. They had to model a somewhat realistic version of little buddy's hair 7 Times. Because in the final boss fight. They had to model each hairstyle to fit the form he transform into to fight grizz. They went all out for a character you don't even control outside of the story. Octolings get Lazier Version of already existing styles. And Some Styles that was there's was given to the inklings.

I definitely agree with your thoughts on splat 3 it feels like Nintendo took a giant step back overall and I really wish the updates had more substantial additions. I feel like there is not enough variety in gear and hairstyles not to mention the lack of items for the lockers. It makes me sad honestly, especially since they locked a ton of the better gear options behind the catalogue. I really hope they don't do the catalogue / fomo style of releases or this might be end of Splatoon for me 😔. Side Order was the last straw, since Octo expansion was the whole reason why I love splatoon so much, but Side order is not half as good as Octo expansion imo. I'm glad I got to experience it but it feels like they rushed it out half finished. And yeah Octolings do get the short end of the stick a lot of the time, but Inklings are way more popular that Octolings over in Japan (which is a majority of the fanbase) so I guess that's why. Oh I definitely like Mari cut the most! There are also freckles, Moles, Scars, etc. that have been in the game files since release but Nintendo has not implemented it yet still...

The Producer of Zelda Said the Reason Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom wasn't getting DLC was because they've added everything they wanted to in the base game. Adding on they also said the game was done in March 2022. But Spent 1 year polishing the game. My point is... Splatoon 3 would be a way more enjoyable experience if the devs stop rushing the game(s) (Cause All Games Was Rushed) and took their time. Like they do with any other game they make. We would have wayyyy more QOL stuff if they took their time. They do not have to force a deadline on themselves if they don't want to. But they proceed to do it to Splatoon specifically for some reason.

I like to think of Breath of the Wild at Moments like this. That game was delayed a lot. Which tells me Nintendo could do the same for Splatoon if they wanted to. Back when Splatoon 1 was the next game in town. (Can't Believe it's been 10 Years since the Reveal.) Nintendo actually held a outfit contest. Players in Japan could design an outfit and the winning outfit made it in the game. I wouldn't mind if Nintendo started interacting with the community again. Too bad the recent events of the champions came out. Now I doubt that'll happen cause of that.
