He is no longer a high volume shooter. He is a pass first guy who is constantly looking to get his teammates involved. This is a terrible idea. Rose hasn't got any of the explosiveness he had when he was at his prime. The Knicks are trading for a rapidly disintegrating PG. At best they could get out of this is that DRose becomes a free agent and with his MASSIVELY overpriced salary it would clear space if they were to try and pursue Westbrook when his contract is up. But then, the Knicks have a rich history of bringing in crumbling PGs who have entered their twilight. No disrespect to JKidd, but he was on his way out at that point and his stay in NY was a running joke. Raymond Felton was just a waste of space, Jose Calderon is nothing like what he was in Toronto in his hey day and DRose is just the latest in a parade of hack PGs. My plea to New York: FOR ANY SEMBLANCE OF PRIDE IN YOURSELF, FIRE-SALE THE ORGANIZATION FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! Oust Phil Jackson and get rid of that toxic try-hard Melo! Just waste the team entirely and start from scratch. You think Porzingis is the 'promised redemption'? It would be hard not to excel in that team! I'm not saying he's bad, but we will never know until they get rid of Melo, put the kybosh on this whole DRose and actually form a decent team and get in a good coaching staff.

actually, the Bulls are trying to almost give Derrick Rose away for free lol, hes on a 1-yr 20m $ contract and he plans on leaving next year, the idea for Chicago is dump him now and use that cap space for someone "more deserving of the money"

He doesn't plan on leaving he plans on testing free agency and forcing the Bulls to pay him a lot. Derrick Rose started getting injured when the Bulls gave him the expensive contract, so I don't think Derrick sat out with the intent to make money.
