It is interesting that Molly, and children were running towards the gate. If one take into account that a) both Molly, and Arthur graduated from Hogwarts, so they knew where the gate was located, b) Molly, and Arthur have raised 7 children, of which 2 have graduated, so they knew where the gate was located, and c) the fact that Hagrid failed to advised Harry where the gate was located.
