If you think about it. Creating shadow monsters can be arguably worse than creating the real thing. Shadow monsters (in theory) can be physical and switch to non physical. It's incredibly unlikely for a shadow version of lycanthrapy and Vampirism to exist. But if you know what your doing then you can create monsters that have never even been thought of to exist. Such as a nonexistent vampire dragon.
