Shame that Ash didn't get Pikachu, I'd have probably kept him and still give Ash an eevee, but evolves into an espeon. But what Electric-type could replace him? A magnemite or electabuzz? (both could probably be found in the Gringey Power Plant).

No offense, but so far, this just feels like a version of the anime that only changes what starter Ash got, and I thought this would deviate a bit more from the original. Like Ash catching the Spearow, or Ash getting a different capture from the first 2.
