I have a few discrepancies. Why did France take all of Rhineland? I think it would have been much more realistic for them to annex Saarland and re-enforce the demilitarisation of the area. Second, why did Japan declare war on the Soviet Union? The border clashes between the two powers showed Japan that a war against the Soviet Union was not something they could win. Third, Why did the Winter war happen? It was a byproduct of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. I don't think it would have happened without it, as there wasn't really any reason to have a war. Last and maybe the least, why did The USSR annex Tannu Tuva and Mongolia? Tuva I understand, but Mongolia's role was that of a leverage against the Chinese states. Annexing it could hurt relations with the Chinese communist forces. I know that looks like a lot of negativity, but I still thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. It was a very interesting scenario and I think you mostly handled it well :)

I appreciate the kind comment and I'm always open for criticism. First: I decided to make France more powerful. Maybe they don't annex the Rhineland completely, but I feel like the direction I steered the video was more interesting. If I was 100% realistic, then the video would be 5 minutes long, with nothing much happening, except a quick German defeat. Everything after that is just to make an interesting and longer video.

I know this might be offensive, but Italy was such a lackluster member of the Axis that it was almost doing favors for the Allies. For example, their dumb decision to invade Greece and Yugoslavia and then beg Germany for its assistance caused a diversion of resources needed for the invasion of the Soviet Union.

That’s only propaganda. It was proved that Germans didn’t receive damage to cause a later invasion towards Russia. It was delayed for weather reasons and Hitler needed a scapegoat to appease Germans. It was also stated that Italy would have won Greece as their army was already in shambles. Germany joined Italy more for precaution against British troops coming to support Greece

Good video, but i think that Poland would have taken everything east of the oder-neisse river because well, it's a river bored, and like you said in the video "Poland would fear a communist Germany" and so it would make sense for them to get a bored on natural boundaries and with Germany in chaos there wouldn't be anything they can do, and maybe they could re-establish a kingdom of Brandenburg east of the Elbe river, but i do consider the Brandenburg part unrealistic, but if a full scale war would break out between the two,i do think there might be a possibility for them to do that

What if germany took land from austria hungary after the brothers war? Meaning they will never be allies because austria would want an equivalent to the eastern sudetanland back, and wilhelm would NOT allow that. Also meaning ww1-era italy could get land they wanted from the austrians by joining the central powers instead of being forced to join the allies like they originally wanted to

In current timeline they do not know what is under the ice crust in Siberia and Sakhalin and the only known oil source is in the South.

The us started the embargo on japan because of the invasion of china and not french indochina The japanese taking the full control over the chinese coast is impossible as there lives almost as many people as the entire japanese army Hungary's parliament at the time was made up of neutral royalist and german-friendly ultranationalists, they wouldn't join a possible war against germany

The French and Italian Intervention in the German Civil War makes no sense. The reason for this is simple: The British. I have always seen that the British fear and have feared alliances that could confront them and even weaken the Status Quo in Europe. An alliance of France and Italy would force British Politics to help the Germans. Thus alleviating the Treaty of Versailles for them -Germans-, which to a certain extent would alleviate the economic pressures suffered by the country. On the other hand, and in the event of a U.S.S.R. vs. Empire of Japan War. The U.S.S.R. would win de facto, the reason for this has to do with the fact that Japan would be facing two large numbers of armies: the Chinese and the Soviet. Making an uneasy but temporary alliance against the Japanese enemy. The USA and the British would support the Soviets in the War against Japan if it kept them from conquering Chinese lands. As for Support for Japan, only the Italian would count since there are no gains for France in supporting some of the parties there. Furthermore... a Second World War must occur there, therefore the Nazis, seeing that they are in a precarious situation and seeing how the Italians have "betrayed" them for the second time. Their "Anti-communist" propaganda will diminish and they will take on an "Anti-Italian and Anti-French" attitude. That World War 2 will begin, anticipating an attack on Poland by the U.S.S.R. An attack that will be greatly permitted by the British when they see how strong the Franco-Italian alliance is in Europe. So much so as to influence Poland so that it has "Fascist" overtones but with French democratic ideas. -Poland was a democratic dictatorship at that time- World War 2 will begin in the War for Poland and will last 5 years. In the USA and UK they will be mere spectators, reaping political and MILITARY gains. There would be no winners FOR THE FRENCH, GERMANS AND ITALIANS and there would be a new status in which the U.S.S.R., UK and USA would be the World powers The reason for this is simple: France still has a Great War mentality in its doctrines. Italy has not militarily strengthened its industry. Hungary is weak, Austria the same. The Poles, although decent, will not hesitate much in the face of the Soviet Push. The lessons of the War against Japan and the Finnish Winter War helped the Soviet Army improve military experience. As for Germany, the country would be dependent on the British or the Soviets. Especially the Soviets for the economic part. In the end... Poland will be divided between the Germans and the Soviets. Finland will fall into Red, as will Hungary. Czecholovakia disappears and France will have an Armistice similar to Versailles. In addition, I would lose several colonies in favor of the British - the Germans selling said colonies or giving them as payment for the "relief of the Treaty of Versailles" - and colonies recovered by the Germans and the majority for independence, I am under pressure from the U.S.S.R. and the USA. U.S. Italy would lose all its colonies, whether they were independent or had communist ideas. This is how i see all of Thiss Will End, The Cold War Woll End in several Blocks and Not in Two

If anyone thinks I'm wrong, say so, but considering that I know history. I know that the British would take a dim view of a Franco-Italian Alliance. The Germans, seeing their aspirations cut short, will swallow their pride and seek a rapprochement with Moscow in order to have those Territorial Aspirations. -All Germans united- And the Soviets (as well as the Chinese) will win if Japan attacks them. They face two large armies and the support that Japan received is only that of Italy. Just... I doubt that in the end... he will win the War... and it is possible that Japan will receive a Democratic Revolution that removes power from Hideki Tojo and makes the Emperor a "Mere figurehead" To be honest, it's the most realistic thing I'm seeing. The US will not get involved in the War... they already win by being a World Power without spending resources and Leading the West, after the Fall from Disgrace of Italy and France. UK the same. His policy of sometimes using others for his Wars has always been a historical fact. Here in the case of a Franco-Italian Alliance, it will seek to Weaken everyone in Europe. So respect the new Status Quo.

@@rewriting-history Austria wasn't really keen on bringing Habsburgs back, Hungary was much promonarchical also Austria ideology was called austrofascism it was a repulblic under "Vaterländishe Front" ("Fatherland Front"). Bringing Habsburg back wasn't ever an Italian agenda and it would probably backfire as Austrian Germans were really socialist and antimonarchical. Going back to Habsburgs in Hungary it was mostly supported by France so considering they were much more important and not compromised they would probably push for it :) Monarchical country doesn't necessarily need to support another monarchy and especially not in XXth century. It's not HoI IV :P

They basically were for the first 3 years of the war but had to thread carefully to avoid being forcibly annexed by the Germans, eventually Mussolini''s fascist ideals went the exact same way every other variant of collectivism, he got thrown in jail and the Germans did annex them .... 0:35 OMG, stop plz. This is NOT the reason why Italy became fascist. Italy became fascist because of participation in WW1 which brought economical and political crisis, causing massive strikes and rise of workers movement on one side and fascist ( black shirt) movement on other side. And oligarchy and the king used black shirts as a weapon against workers movement. Red weeks in Italy were stopped with force and assasinations... The king agreed to appoint Mussolini as Prime Minister after March on Rome. The only thing that was caused right by dissatisfaction about peace treaty was a Question of Fiume and D' Annuzios capture of Rjeka ( Fiume).

@@rewriting-history Sure, they lose in every scenario you make but you're still very apologetic towards them, framing the rise of fascism as "an understandable retalliation to being treated unfairly". The alt-right has a big precense in the alternate history community. I know this is probably just a passion or hobby of yours but politics are everywhere. You can't escape it and it's always gonna be on you to act responsibly when making videos regarding fascism or you will end up radicalising a portion of your viewers towards the far right.
