Really enjoyed reading the 'Darth Bane' trilogy from the Star Wars 'Expanded Universe' now call Star Wars 'Legends'. Kept reading fans of these books lamenting that there were no movie adaptations planned for this work (even less so now that the whole story is not considered 'canon' by Lucas or Disney) ... But now with generative AI, I wonder if in the future there will be apps that will be able to convert/render/(text to movie translate) any of your favourite books. Two odd issues I can imagine : 1) huge amount of computational energy required (particularly if this catches on) and 2) people becoming picky with the style of the movie rendered, then playing with restarts of the rendering from different random seeds or playing with the style file restraints on the rendering .... Anyway an interesting bold new future, certainly less dull than washable wallpaper coverings ...
