Kepler-22b is located 600 light-years away. While the planet is larger than Earth, its orbit of 290 days around a sun-like star resembles that of our world. The planet's host star belongs to the same class as our sun, called G-type, although it is slightly smaller and cooler.

Its more likely that instead of collision, Earth will get captured as a moon of Kepler 22-b if it was heading towards Earth. Because gravity is not the only player, both planet's electromagnetic forces will also interact with each other, making capture into orbit more likely. Also both planet's strength of gravity will change as a result of changes in planet's charge as gravity is not entirely due to mass of planet.

Speaking of life, I was thinking, life could be on any planet that has a solid ground because aliens could have completely different needs for life, they could need 2x the sunlight or half the sunlight we need, and for water and food they might not even need that stuff to survive. Just sharing a thought.

Definitely true, i believe we all don't have the same life forms.. like probably there's a world that has Aliens 10x huge our bodies, probably others very small, others maybe they crawl and not walk, some also might ne flying instead of walking and running, some maybe don't need to breath so as to live. How can you know that Kepler-22b rotates as Uranus? Our telescopes aren't so powerful to notice how a exoplanet rotates
@dimensio_italian_magician2 жыл бұрын
They don't directly see the rotation. They make hypotesis based on the planets' light and movement
@fabriziobiancucci77022 жыл бұрын
@@dimensio_italian_magician It's impossible determinate a planet's rotation from its movement around the star, same from its light since a planet cannot produce light and we see it only when it pass in front of its star. well considering that Kepler 22b is larger than earth that means its gravity would be much stronger than earth so it wouldn't be Kepler 22b falling toward earth but rather earth falling toward Kepler 22b, the large gravity would also cause some problems with astronauts and spacecraft because some spacecraft wouldn't be able to get off the ground and there would be a lot of downward pressure on the bodies of the astronauts, luckily though the human body can adapt to those conditions in time
@YouTubeExplore7772 жыл бұрын
Plus the gravity change, the bigger the planet the stronger the gravity correct? We would have to adapt to the pressure of gravity there?

WISE J072003.20-084651.2 (also known as "WISE 0855-0714" or "WISE J085510.83-071442.5"), is a brown dwarf, located 7.2 light-years away from Earth and is not in our solar system. If it were in our solar system, it would likely have a significant impact on the dynamics of the solar system. Because it is a brown dwarf, it would likely have a very strong gravity field, which could potentially cause disruptions to the orbits of other celestial bodies in the solar system. Additionally, its proximity to the Earth could have an effect on the Earth's climate and weather patterns. However, it's important to note that the effects would be hard to predict and would depend on many factors such as its distance from the sun and its orbit.
