What if Killing Floor 3 was actually a Killing Floor 1 Remaster?

KF1 is... terrifying. Just remembering how things can go wrong really, really fast gives me chills. One fleshpound or a couple of sirens and your whole team is dead in seconds. KF2 rewarded more mechanic skilled players that can clutch a whole round by themselves, in KF1 you're pretty much dead.

Kf2 has more freedom of movement, like sprinting... parry. Kf1 is pretty much either kill right away, go to a glitch spot or die

@@PathfinderBoi Glitch spot, FP ? Yes it will glitch for like 1 second and you are still dead, but that 1 second could let you survive encounter and kill. Its its stil ;lconsidered skill play because you utilised game mechanics and won the encounter in fair.

The atmosphere in KF1 is so good It's like visiting a dirty lost place! Manor and West London are just two of my favorites. I hope that KF3 will be more like KF1 again.

2:06 just there you can see how much KF2 was different from KF 1. Your muscle memory caused you to run into open and take lots of damage instead of positioning yourself to pin point and bottle neck incoming zeds. When creating kf 2 I cannot understand why they thought it would be good idea to make gameplay more manouver oriented while making maps super small. It always caused such body blocking fuck fest not to mention having zeds swarming you from all possible sides due to them having insane amounts of spawning areas.

ohhh what a surprise! I also downloaded KF1 a couple days ago, haven't play from KF2 launch :D Almost 9 years... 250 hours in KF1 and 290 in KF2 and KF1 still feels cool, it's much slower and harder, the real apocalypse. No sprints, no dashes, plays so fun, and the game is still alive! Ty Pathfinder!

You can set it same, using CD mod in kf2. We've used to play kf2 on sucha high dufficulty level that I have no idea at all how we've been doing it. Today I suck big time.

killing floor 1 had way more personality than 2. the voice lines from both the trader and the players. "I am WELDING this door!" "Be still will ya I'm tryna heal ya" "get up them apples!" they literally never got old. But in 2 they sucked all that fun out, sucked out all the camp and tried to be cool and ended up with borderlands-tier dialog. both really good games but kf2 missed out on being truly excellent with their tone shift

KF1 is so more satisfying! Its the hard hitting bang of the guns and the splash like skull cracking sound when you make headshots i guess. There's nothing better than playing commando with the steam punk tommy gun and a horde of clots, just endless zed time while pulling headshots from the horizon 😅 Or the M79 on KF-FrightYard with the enabled kill counter while eradicating groups of crawlers and stalkers. What a rewarding green list appering every time in the top right corner😊

I missed the dirty, grungy and mostly "normal" setting kf1, the mood was so damn good it just tickled that part of my brain that loves those old zombie movies that took place in small towns, or shopping malls. Personally never liked the more clean sci-fi they went for in kf2

But man.. if i see that Overwatch hud on launch, im done with KF 3. 2024 still playing Kf 1 sometimes, i have this strange relationship with KF series, even if i overplayed them or got bored. You should try modded KF1, where hitboxes are fixed, and modern features added (sprint, bash, ping, etc.) . The vanilla version is way too deprecated. The atmosphere is still awesome, though.

My what-if "prediction": Killing floor 4 will be a less futuristic prequel to Killing floor 3 while Killing floor 5 is actually a Killing Floor 1 remaster/remake, just sharing my thoughts, still looking forward to KF3 .
