This new arrangement definitely describes the base FF7 party lol. Barret would be playing the brass instruments, Tifa would be on drums, and Cloud would be playing those subtle chimes. Edit: Aerith would be playing a wind instrument because of Healing Wind.

I remember in Dissidia, they added the Esper Battle track from FF12 but added drums to it and it was immediately apparent what the original song needed and is my favorite version of that ost to date. Never realized how much drums enhance my enjoyment before then

Tbh I'm not great at mixing, definitely back when I made this, but what I mostly did was give the drums a whole lot of compression and make space for it by cutting some frequencies out of the original track with the EQ.

The addition of the drums is just a biiiiiiiiit much. It maybe sounds like something that would be played at a live arrangement for one of those Video Games Live concerts or Distant Worlds. It's not bad, just wouldn't feel it in game.

I get what you mean. The mix of the original track doesn't allow for much space for a drum set, but it was fun to add one to get an idea of what it would be like, nonetheless. I don't mind the bloatedness all too much personally.
