i adore how there's very subtle hints that this isn't real even before it's revealed, with mari saying things like "wow, i really could've died" in the hospital, which i highly doubt she would say to her panicked little brother in this scenario. it seems more like sunny being unable to keep the truth out of his head, even in a perfect imagined scenario, and you can see the look on his face change as soon as she says it. this is perfection.

You know, the fact that it was a dream ACTAULLY makes alot more sense since The only way basil and sunny would have gotten away with framing it as a suicide is if maris neck was broken. [ suicide victims using a noose usually die by breaking their neck rather than asphyxiation. It's a far less painful death. Usually they tie the noose then drop from a high place, e.g. the branch of a tree, like where mari was hung. ] Since no inquiries were made, nothing was bought up by an autopsy, [ suicide autopsies are usually mandatory in the US, however there is a chance there wasn't one since faraway Town is not very close to the city. ] and therefore, her neck must have been broken. not just fractured. Completely broken. Hellmaris strange twisted neck might actually be proof of this. if so, she was not killed by being hung, she was not killed by being moved. *She was dead before she even hit the ground.* Therefore she wouldnt have survived even if going by the whole "if basil and sunny had common sense and didn't hang her and called help she would've survived" stuff.

it was the ''She was dead before she even hit the ground.'' part for me- that sentence alone make me want to cry- there literally wouldn't have been any hope of saving her even if they got her to a hospital, basically meaning that if they did do that, it would just be in vain since she'd already be dead.

I think at some point the game explains that Sunny had begun to panic and lost all sense and reasoning, Basil was the only one out of the two of them that was still functioning.

According to the comments, if Basil and Sunny had common sense they could've saved Mari. I dont believe that cuz Mari's head wasnt injured when she fell down the stairs, it was her neck. Sunny threw the violin and it broke, And Mari fell on top of it and broke her neck. So even if Basil and Sunny never staged the su1c1de, she'd still probably be dead. But, if they DID try to get help they could live a life with alot less guilt. My opinion btw

I like how this as a whole implies Sunny hasn't told the truth to his friends in the real world yet: Sunny still having nightmares about what happened, him still hanging out in Faraway Park with everyone even when his eye is almost perfectly healed... It really makes this skit generally a more immersive experience than just "If Mari survived", which is not something I was ever expecting to say about a gacha vid LMAO. Btw I don't know the first thing about how gacha works but the choppy animation in this is really satisfying to watch :]

my heart hurts. 4:11 don't make me cry. it's 10:44pm. I love Mari sm, and she's so sweet to her sibling and friends. Her death was probably the most brutal I've ever heard in a horror story (actually I shouldn't talk, I was into FNaF prior to joining the omori fandom), and it seems the most real to me. And the fact that Sunny was sobbing in the hospital as showed in the video means he really hated what he did, and probably even, hated himself for it. I've always wondered what would happen if I fell down the stairs. I have a little brother and we get into fights a lot. I just hope that the carpet on my stairs is soft enough...

I really like this skit. First time I watched it, I was so caught off guard when was revealed that it was a dream. But I think it is supposed to be that way. It is really cool at subverting the viewer's expectation, I mean, it looks like that general video about a universe, where everything is okay, but it is not. And that emphasizes that Sunny, just like all of us, wanted it all to have that happy ending. More than that, he is the one, who wanted it the most. But it will never happen. That is so tragic, I love it.

Heres a question been wondering about OMORI: Is Sunny/Omori mute? (Obviously before the final scene when Omori confesses to Hero, Aubrey, and Kel) So far, I'm leaning towards yes. People have brought up the whole "silent protagonist" trope, and, especially for a game, this is honestly what i tbought was happening st first as well. but as far as i can tell, never once has a character mentioned something that Sunny/Omori has actually said aloud without it being kinda a yes or no awnser. There was that one time Basil asked Sunny's opinion on the color pink, stating that Sunny said it was an awesome color... But honestly, i think Sunny just nodded and Basil elaborated. As someone who tends to be on the quiet side, my friends have done this to be a lot. I don't think it'd be all that much of a stretch. Also, never once does a character actually try to get Omori/Sunny to talk without it being a yes or no question, even before Mari's death. Even when Kel asks a question that would usually require a response, he's simply like "Lead the way, Sunny!" Part of this could just be game mechanics, which is why I'm bringing this up. One person stated that Sunny/Omori's muteness could be symbolism. He has to keep a secret, so he never says anything in fear it might lead them to suspect something... But I would also like to state that even in HeadSpace and WhiteSpace, Omori still doesn't talk. Especially in early game, Omori never actually had the trama of Mari's death when in HeadSpace, so what secret would he have to keep? There's also the argument that part of him was "turning a blind eye to fhe truth". I get that, and it could also be game mechanics. Also, durning the whole Omori Vs. Sunny fight, Omori talks to Sunny, hoping to talk him into offing himself. Honestly, i think because Omori is basically talking to himself, jt cojlx actually be just thought transfer. It would be perfectly reasonable to assume Sunny talks to himself inside of his head, and i think that's what's happening here. ... What do you think?
