I swear to dog, the first time I heard Flowers in passing, I thought it was Bruno Mars from a like 3 second clip I got from a car while on a walk, then a few days later I heard the whole song on the radio and was like, wait, who is this? Looked it up and my jaw hit the floor when I saw it was Miley Cyrus. Then listened for a 3rd time on youtube and it made soooo much more sense. So when I saw the title of this video I had to click immediately!

I feel like this song is “When I Was Your Man” from the girlfriend’s perspective. The original song is the boyfriend sad about losing his girlfriend, but the girlfriend broke up with him because he cheated. This song is the girlfriend celebrating getting away from her trash excuse for a boyfriend. That’s my interpretation of this song 😂
