You know who would be a interesting "what if turned good" situation, the ginyu force. Just imagine the great saiyaman arguing with the ginyu force about poses. You can have a reason on why they turned good by having them realise that if frieza became immortal he wouldn't need the ginyu force anymore.

If we assume that trainning can allow pretty much anyone to become strong, and that the Ginyu Force were already pretty strong in the Namek Saga, they could be key players up until Super, and even some of the in the TOP. However, Ginyu couldn't Body Change Cell, if it is assumed that the latter would have not only his cells, but also data on his techniques.

Reason is simple: Ginyu and Jeice flee Goku to get help from Freeza, only to learn Freeza doesn't care about their comrades or them. Ginyu and Jeice slowly start to betray Freeza to the Z Fighters and are revived on Earth with the rest after Freeza's defeat.

MasakoX, what about doing a "Future Nappa special", where you discuss the adventures of Future Nappa past the Cell saga? My little idea was that, after handily defeating 17, 18 and Cell, F. Nappa would go find Bulma and, after explainning what happenned, goes to Gero's lab and recovers 16's pod (if we assume it wasn't destroyed) so that she can re-program him for serving them and protecting the Earth. His help would be fortunate when Babidi and Dabura release Majin Buu, as Nappa does not have the same potential for power as Trunks, and therefore it would have been impossible for him to defeat them on his own. However, when he actually confronts Buu with 16, he pulls a Hercule Satan and convinces him to join them, forming some kind of Big Guys Trio. However, as the years pass, Nappa goes past the dreaded age of 80 when Saiyans begin to lose their combat power, and he becomes weaker and weaker. When Goku (or Gohan) Black shows up and begins to kill civiliand left and right, the Trio tries to intervene. Unfortunately, despite Buu's immense power and the possible upgrades that 16 could have obtained, the new threat stays undefeated. When Black kills Bulma, it also effects them immensly. She was, after all, the only friend Nappa had all the way since the androids' attacks and before their defeat. Maybe even they had some romantic feeling for each other after passing all these years fixing humanity's remains. At this moment, Nappa unleashes the same power born out of despair that his counterpart acheived. However, it also causes Evil Buu to be released from Good Buu. While Nappa is still too weak to kill Black, he's still able to hold him off and, unlike in canon, it's Good Buu who re-absorbs Evil Buu thanks to 16's intervention, becoming some kind of inverted Super Buu: same body shape and power, but with grey skin and Good Buu's eyes and personnality. With a newly Berserk Nappa and Super Buu up against him, Black is actually losing the battle and eventually flees, and when he comes back, it's with Future Zamasu. Following 16's advice, Nappa uses the Time Machine to get help from the past like he did before, and brings back Past Goku, Gohan and Nappa. So, what do you think?

I think this complex and deeper look at how characters interact and real life situations brought on by the maturity Nappa's presence adds made for a much more compelling and intriguing story. Yes, we do lose some classic characters and milestones and not everyone is living a happy go lucky life, but it's a more fulfilled and satisfied life. Everyone is more at peace with themselves and in better places all around. I love how it's specifically Nappa bringing this about. He began as the simplistic brute working for the real big bad of the arc only to become one of the most interesting, complex and mature characters we've ever seen in these scenarios. I eagerly await the continuation of this story and seeing Nappa's role in the rest of Super.

1: The only way that could happen is if Goten was born before Goku died. Aside from that, most likely not. Trunks had a hard enough time handling one android, and Trunks is a bit stronger than Goten. Even if they teamed up, the androids would just even the odds. Since Goten looks the most like Goku, Trunks would go himself to keep the timeline from getting messed up while Goten stays to keep Bulma and Chi chi safe. 2: Without the Kamehameha, Roshi would never put out the fire of Fire Mountain, our heroes wouldn’t get the dragon ball hidden there, and the journey would come to an end.

Nathan April Goten wasn’t born when Trunks didn’t come from the future and Goku died of his heart virus. It’s not a matter of Goku training too hard. It’s that everything changed when Trunks came from the future. The heart virus hit Goku later than expected, two different androids attacked that day, 17 & 18 were stronger than in Trunks’ timeline, and all of these events led to Goten’s conception. Otherwise, Goten would exist in Trunks’ timeline in Dragon Ball Super.

Masako, I need to say something. I honestly could not believe that the likes of you and even Geekdom believe that Whis will be happy to revive people on a whim. The reason Whis revived Freeza was because it was a gift from Beerus for performing well in the tournament. 1. Whis probably cannot revive on his own. He may need permission from Beerus first. 2. It was because of the tournament; an event that concerned the gods immensely. If it's a mortal affair, they're not going to care. That being said, Whis reviving Vegeta can still be very plausible. Beerus could be thankful enough for bringing the Super Saiyan God to fruition to give Whis the order and cut out the middle-man. Just like with Freeza, it would be a gift from him for pleasing him in this event that concerned him. Now if Goku wanted Whis to revive Yamcha because he got crushed in the gravity chamber, for example. He and Beerus will be like "tough luck. If you want your friend revived, you need to do it the hard way." I really hope people see this.

I mean, Whis *has* done some pretty insane stuff in canon-rewinding time, teleporting at will, traveling between universes, pulling a goddamn baby out of a mother's womb before it was ready. Thus, the half-joke of Whis casually fixing that little problem and reviving Vegeta just because isn't exactly far off. And even if he didn't, all it'd take is one telepathic phone call from King Kai and one wish off the Namekian balls, or waiting six months for the Earth ones to come back.

Masako should do a what if where Future Gohan heads to the past instead of Future Trunks. I believe it would change many things in the Cell Saga. Who knows? Maybe Goku will be more willing to take the heart medicine due to Future Gohan telling him to instead of Future Trunks.

What if Goku killed his opponents after beating them? Essentially he hadn't completely lost his Saiyan mindset when he hit his head as a child. An example would be the Pilaf gang, Oolong, or even Yamcha.

He probably thought he was still evil and stubborn-headed enough not to listen. You could say he didn't have enough time to think about other potential saiyans that can turn good and that Vegeta is the only person he's familiar with. Also he knows Vegeta much more than anyone else like Masako said. You can't change someone you don't know very well since there are chances they could still cling to their heartless ways.

I know this might not change anything too dramatically with your direction, but one thing I was thinking when Nappa asked for Vegeta to be brought back was "WHAT IF NAPPA BROUGHT BACK RADITZ?". I think it might've changed how things played out, but please let me know what you think of that idea.

You know what could be a neat twist? Ultra Instinct Sign Vegeta. Considering his ego has been pretty rightly broken by Nappa, there's no telling how his mentality will be affected. Perhaps the sight of Super Saiyan God Goku inspired him to put in the effort to become strong again, without letting his past or former ego ruin him from the inside. Yet, after letting out all his rage, perhaps he simply lacks the innate anger now to achieve Super Saiyan, let alone SSG. Even Goten could achieve it, but not Vegeta. Instead of snapping and breaking his limit in a fit of rage like in the original, what if he were to remain devoted to his training? He grows ever and ever more fluid and involuntary in his movements and ki control while training with Nappa, until it happens. His eyes turn silver, and his aura gains a slight silvery shimmer. With aptitude only a pure-blooded Saiyan could achieve so quickly, he attains Ultra Instinct Sign. I reckon that boon alone would grant him enough power to par with SSB, seeing as it allowed Goku in the original series to put some heat on Jiren while SSB Kaioken x60 got utterly destroyed by him. It might be a leap of logic, but what do you all think?
