Kakashi questions the fact of a sword being a dragon, But forgets that Sarutobi's boss summon Emna turns into a staff, so why doesn't he even consider that the sword is a transformed summon? Personally if I was Naruto, I'd just say it's 1 of Kushina's summons given an order to act as guardian in the form of a sword. At the least I'd avoid awkward question that way.
