He abandoned Naruto at the training ground when they became a team, he left him with a training type with Ebisu that was setup to fail... He emphasized teamwork, but didn't seem to seem work on the teamwork. Sakura was just an extra wheel and didn't fit in to any dynamic. Basically he was a failure as a teacher in the beginning. The potential of all 3 can be seen when they get taught by the Sanin, but I still say Jiraiya fell short. Emphasize on Kyuubi was wrong. The Akasuki were set to fight the Biju. Not necessarily skilled shinobi. Had Jiraiya worked more on basic and advanced shinobi skills and THEN on Kyuubi Naruto would have been much stronger in my opinion. Heck if Kakashi had done a good job as sensei all of them would have been stronger.

@RaiderMXV thats true but kakashi was broken after minato death and would do many s rank missions in anbu so hiruzen had to demote him to jonin

@khansoder-ej8ji yes, back to Hiruzen being the 'root' of most if not all the problems of Naruto's life in the village. To protect the village he let so many things go wrong or did so on purpose. He didn't punish Danzo for leaking Naruto's status as a jinchuriki, screwing with political events that effect Konoha. Deal properly with the Hyuuga event. I almost think that he was behind the destruction of Whirlpool. Not dealing with Naruto being able to do the clone jutsu or looking close enough at the academy that teaches his new shinobi. Rock Lee got accommodations, why not Naruto or at least training for a different clone? I could continue all day with how as Arrow would say: You've failed this village! LOL

@@RaiderMXV i agree about hiruzen in some ways but in most fanfiction kakashi was orderd to fokus all his atention on sasuke
